This Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy identifies products, services, digital content, transactions, and activities that may not be offered through Good Shit Only™ or that require prior written approval and additional compliance measures.
Good Shit Only™ is operated by CrownThrive LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. This Policy applies to sellers, service providers, affiliates, advertisers, buyers, members, and all other users.
This Policy supplements and is incorporated into the Good Shit Only Terms & Conditions, Seller Agreement, Acceptable Use Policy, Product Safety, Recalls & Incident Reporting Policy, Intellectual Property, Counterfeit & DMCA Policy, and other applicable Trust Center policies.
GSO may prohibit an item even when the item is lawful in a particular jurisdiction. GSO may also impose requirements stricter than those imposed by a payment provider, carrier, regulator, or other marketplace.
The ability to create, submit, or publish a listing does not constitute approval. Sellers remain responsible for confirming that every offering is permitted, lawful, safe, accurately described, and properly authorized.

1. Scope and Interpretation
This Policy applies to:
- Physical products;
- Digital products;
- Licenses;
- Services;
- Appointments;
- Subscriptions and memberships;
- Advertisements;
- Affiliate promotions;
- Giveaways and promotions;
- Requests, offers, and attempted transactions;
- External links used to facilitate a prohibited transaction.
An item includes its listing, images, claims, packaging, components, instructions, included files, associated services, and intended use.
An item may be prohibited because of what it is, how it is made, how it is marketed, who may receive it, where it is delivered, or how it is intended to be used.
2. Seller Responsibility
Before listing an offering, the seller must determine:
- Whether the offering is permitted by GSO;
- Whether it is lawful in the seller’s jurisdiction;
- Whether it may lawfully be delivered to the buyer’s jurisdiction;
- Whether required licenses, testing, approvals, labels, warnings, and certifications exist;
- Whether carrier and payment-provider restrictions are satisfied;
- Whether the seller owns or controls all necessary rights;
- Whether age, identity, location, or professional controls are required.
A seller may not rely solely on another marketplace’s acceptance, a supplier’s statement, or the absence of a warning from GSO.
3. Illegal Goods, Services, and Activities
Any offering that is illegal to manufacture, possess, advertise, sell, license, import, export, distribute, deliver, perform, or use is prohibited.
GSO also prohibits offerings intended to:
- Facilitate crime;
- Conceal unlawful activity;
- Evade sanctions, taxes, licensing, or reporting requirements;
- Destroy or fabricate evidence;
- Obstruct an investigation;
- Assist another person in violating law.
4. Stolen and Unlawfully Obtained Property
Prohibited items include:
- Stolen property;
- Property obtained through fraud;
- Goods removed from a business, employer, government, school, military unit, or institution without authority;
- Items with removed, altered, or falsified serial numbers;
- Unlawfully obtained customer returns;
- Misappropriated rental or leased property;
- Goods obtained through cargo theft or retail theft;
- Digital files or accounts obtained without authorization.
GSO may request invoices, receipts, ownership records, supplier information, serial numbers, or other sourcing evidence.
5. Counterfeit, Pirated, and Infringing Items
Prohibited items include:
- Counterfeit goods;
- Fake branded products;
- Unauthorized replicas;
- Pirated software, music, books, video, courses, or files;
- Bootleg recordings;
- Unauthorized fan merchandise;
- Products using another party’s trademarks deceptively;
- Unauthorized copyrighted images, characters, logos, designs, or text;
- Products infringing patents, design rights, publicity rights, or other proprietary rights.
Labels such as “replica,” “dupe,” “inspired by,” “style,” or “not authentic” do not make an infringing or counterfeit product permissible.
6. Recalled, Banned, and Unsafe Products
Prohibited items include:
- Recalled products that have not received the authorized recall remedy;
- Products banned by a regulator;
- Products presenting an unreasonable risk of injury or death;
- Products lacking legally required safety protections;
- Products bearing fake safety or certification marks;
- Defective products offered without an authorized repair or remedy;
- Products subject to an unresolved safety warning or stop-sale order;
- Products whose safety labels or warnings have been removed or altered.
Used, vintage, handmade, imported, and secondhand products remain subject to safety and recall requirements.
7. Weapons, Firearms, Ammunition, and Explosives
GSO prohibits:
- Firearms;
- Frames, receivers, and unfinished firearm components;
- Ammunition;
- Explosives and explosive devices;
- Fireworks;
- Silencers and suppressors;
- Automatic-weapon conversion devices;
- Ghost-gun kits;
- Bomb-making materials or instructions intended for harm;
- Grenades, mines, rockets, and military ordnance;
- Tasers and stun weapons;
- Brass knuckles and similar striking weapons;
- Switchblades and other legally restricted knives;
- Weaponized chemicals;
- Parts or accessories whose primary purpose is unlawful weapon use.
Ordinary kitchen tools, lawful sporting equipment, decorative items, and utility tools may still be restricted when marketed or modified as weapons.
8. Controlled Substances and Illegal Drugs
GSO prohibits:
- Illegal drugs;
- Controlled substances offered without lawful authorization;
- Narcotics;
- Hallucinogens;
- Illicit stimulants;
- Synthetic drugs;
- Drug precursors intended for illegal manufacture;
- Drug residue or contaminated products;
- Drug paraphernalia primarily intended for illegal drug use;
- Instructions or services facilitating unlawful drug production or distribution.
9. Cannabis, THC, CBD, and Related Products
The following are prohibited unless GSO creates a separately approved, legally compliant program:
- Marijuana and cannabis flower;
- THC products;
- Delta products;
- CBD ingestibles, topicals, and concentrates;
- Hemp-derived intoxicating products;
- Cannabis seeds intended for cultivation;
- Cannabis delivery or dispensary services;
- Products making unlawful cannabis-related medical claims.
Cannabis-themed books, artwork, apparel, music, and lawful expressive content may be permitted when they do not include controlled substances, promote unlawful transactions, or violate another policy.
10. Alcohol, Tobacco, Nicotine, and Vaping
GSO prohibits:
- Alcoholic beverages;
- Tobacco products;
- Cigarettes and cigars;
- Nicotine products;
- Vaping devices and liquids;
- Electronic cigarettes;
- Nicotine pouches;
- Hookah tobacco;
- Age-restricted inhalant products;
- Delivery, resale, or subscription services for these products.
Empty collectible containers and lawful nonfunctional memorabilia may be reviewed individually.
11. Prescription Drugs and Restricted Medications
GSO prohibits:
- Prescription drugs;
- Controlled medications;
- Unapproved drugs;
- Repackaged medication;
- Medication samples;
- Human or veterinary drugs requiring a prescription;
- Products falsely represented as approved medication;
- Services selling prescriptions without a lawful professional relationship;
- Products intended to evade lawful pharmacy or prescribing requirements.
Common over-the-counter products may require prior approval, intact packaging, appropriate dating, lawful labeling, and compliance with all applicable requirements.
12. Supplements, Ingestibles, and Health Products
Dietary supplements, herbal products, wellness ingestibles, weight-management products, and comparable health products are restricted and require GSO approval.
Approval may require:
- Manufacturer information;
- Ingredient lists;
- Lot or batch records;
- Expiration dates;
- Label review;
- Testing or certificates;
- Insurance;
- Claim substantiation;
- Adverse-event procedures;
- Fulfillment and storage information.
Prohibited claims include unsupported representations that a product:
- Diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents disease;
- Produces guaranteed weight loss;
- Replaces necessary medical care;
- Is completely safe for every person;
- Has government approval that it does not have.
13. Medical Devices and Health Equipment
Medical devices, diagnostic products, therapeutic equipment, vision products, hearing products, and other regulated health equipment require prior approval.
GSO prohibits:
- Prescription-only devices offered without authority;
- Unapproved or adulterated devices;
- Recalled devices;
- Used invasive or contaminated medical equipment;
- Products with altered expiration dates;
- Products making unsupported diagnostic or treatment claims;
- Devices lacking legally required instructions or warnings.
14. Food and Nonalcoholic Beverages
Food and beverage products require compliance with applicable licensing, manufacturing, labeling, allergen, sanitation, storage, shipping, and local cottage-food requirements.
Restricted categories may include:
- Homemade food;
- Perishable food;
- Refrigerated or frozen products;
- Infant food;
- Raw animal products;
- Imported food;
- Products requiring special allergen controls;
- Products making health or therapeutic claims.
Expired, adulterated, contaminated, improperly stored, falsely labeled, or recalled food is prohibited.
15. Cosmetics, Beauty, and Personal-Care Products
Cosmetics, hair products, skin products, fragrances, soaps, and personal-care items may require approval based on their formulation and claims.
Prohibited products include:
- Contaminated or adulterated cosmetics;
- Products containing prohibited ingredients;
- Opened or used products represented as new;
- Products lacking required ingredient disclosures;
- Counterfeit beauty products;
- Products making unsupported disease-treatment claims;
- Products with altered lot, batch, or expiration information.
Professional beauty services remain subject to licensing, sanitation, insurance, and appointment requirements.
16. Children’s and Infant Products
Children’s and infant products may require testing, certification, tracking labels, warnings, age grading, and other safety documentation.
Restricted categories include:
- Cribs and sleep products;
- Car seats and child restraints;
- Strollers;
- Toys;
- Children’s jewelry;
- Feeding products;
- Children’s clothing containing regulated components;
- Products intended for infants or toddlers.
Recalled, banned, damaged, expired, materially modified, or uncertified products may not be listed when certification or safety compliance is required.
17. Hazardous Materials and Chemicals
GSO prohibits or restricts:
- Poisonous chemicals;
- Radioactive materials;
- Highly toxic pesticides;
- Explosive precursors;
- Laboratory toxins;
- Dangerous biological agents;
- Corrosive substances;
- Restricted industrial chemicals;
- Products requiring hazardous-material shipping that the seller cannot lawfully provide;
- Materials intended to injure, poison, incapacitate, or contaminate people or property.
Ordinary household chemicals may require appropriate labeling, packaging, documentation, and carrier eligibility.
18. Batteries, Electronics, and Electrical Products
Electronics and batteries must be safe, accurately described, legally certified where required, and eligible for lawful shipment.
Prohibited or restricted items include:
- Recalled batteries;
- Damaged or swollen lithium batteries;
- Counterfeit chargers;
- Unsafe electrical adapters;
- Products bearing fake certification marks;
- Devices designed to interfere with communications or safety systems;
- Products intended to steal credentials or data;
- Electronics modified to evade lawful controls.
19. Animals, Wildlife, and Biological Materials
GSO prohibits:
- Live animals;
- Endangered or protected species;
- Illegal wildlife products;
- Ivory and restricted animal materials;
- Protected feathers, skins, shells, horns, bones, or trophies;
- Animal-fighting equipment or services;
- Unlawful breeding or animal-sale services;
- Products involving cruelty or illegal harvesting;
- Biological samples that create legal, safety, or shipping risks.
Lawful synthetic, vintage, or common-animal materials may require documentation.
20. Human Remains, Body Parts, and Human Materials
GSO prohibits:
- Human remains;
- Human organs or tissue;
- Blood or bodily fluids;
- Human embryos or reproductive material;
- Human teeth, hair, bone, or other material offered in violation of law or ethical requirements;
- Grave goods obtained unlawfully;
- Medical specimens;
- Services trafficking in human biological material.
Ordinary wigs, extensions, and lawfully sourced commercial hair products may be permitted when accurately described and compliant with applicable requirements.
21. Adult Sexual Products and Services
GSO prohibits:
- Pornographic media;
- Sexual-stimulation devices;
- Sex dolls;
- Explicit sexual services;
- Escort services;
- Prostitution or solicitation;
- Sexual fetish services;
- Nonconsensual sexual content;
- Content involving minors;
- Sexually exploitative or trafficked content.
Condoms, standard personal lubricants, sexual-health education, and non-explicit artistic or literary works may be permitted when lawful and appropriately presented.
22. Exploitative and Abusive Content
GSO prohibits products, services, and content involving:
- Human trafficking;
- Sexual exploitation;
- Child exploitation;
- Nonconsensual intimate imagery;
- Animal cruelty;
- Graphic celebration of real-world abuse;
- Instructions intended to facilitate violence against an identifiable person;
- Blackmail or extortion;
- Commercial exploitation of a victim’s private suffering without lawful authority.
23. Hate, Extremist, and Terrorist Material
GSO prohibits:
- Terrorist organization merchandise;
- Extremist recruitment or fundraising materials;
- Propaganda intended to promote terrorist activity;
- White-nationalist or violent extremist merchandise;
- Products celebrating mass violence or genocide;
- Items promoting violence against a protected group;
- Services assisting extremist operations.
Historical, educational, journalistic, documentary, artistic, and critical works may be reviewed in context and may require clear presentation to prevent promotion or glorification.
24. Financial Products, Cash Equivalents, and Money Services
GSO prohibits:
- Money transfers unrelated to marketplace purchases;
- Check-cashing or remittance services;
- Loans and payday lending;
- Securities or investment contracts;
- Unregistered investment opportunities;
- Cryptocurrency sales or exchange services;
- Stored-value accounts;
- Gift cards or prepaid cards offered without approval;
- Currency, counterfeit currency, or counterfeit financial instruments;
- Credit-repair guarantees;
- Debt-relief services offered without approval;
- Services designed to conceal beneficial ownership or transaction proceeds.
25. Gambling, Lotteries, and Prize Schemes
GSO prohibits:
- Unlawful gambling;
- Sportsbooks;
- Casino services;
- Lottery-ticket sales;
- Raffles requiring purchase unless expressly approved and lawful;
- Betting pools;
- Games of chance involving unlawful consideration or prizes;
- Devices or software designed primarily for unlawful gambling;
- Services manipulating gambling outcomes.
Promotional sweepstakes or contests require prior approval and complete official rules.
26. Government Documents, Identification, and Credentials
GSO prohibits:
- Government-issued identification documents;
- Passports;
- Driver’s licenses;
- Social Security cards;
- Immigration documents;
- Military identification;
- License plates or registration documents offered unlawfully;
- Counterfeit certificates, permits, diplomas, licenses, or credentials;
- Services creating or altering official documents fraudulently;
- Government benefits or accounts offered for transfer.
Lawful novelty, theatrical, educational, or commemorative materials must not be likely to deceive or function as authentic credentials.
27. Personal Data, Accounts, and Credentials
GSO prohibits:
- Stolen personal information;
- Customer databases offered without authority;
- Login credentials;
- Email accounts;
- Social-media accounts;
- Bank or payment accounts;
- Identity profiles;
- Medical or financial records;
- Private location data;
- Leaked databases;
- Government identification numbers;
- Services obtaining private data unlawfully.
28. Surveillance, Hacking, and Circumvention Tools
GSO prohibits:
- Spyware;
- Stalkerware;
- Credential-stealing tools;
- Unauthorized surveillance devices;
- Hidden cameras marketed for illegal use;
- Card skimmers;
- Account-cracking tools;
- Unauthorized hacking services;
- Tools designed to bypass digital-rights management, payment, licensing, security, or access controls unlawfully;
- Jammers and unlawful interception equipment;
- Services intended to access another person’s account or device without authority.
Legitimate defensive-security, educational, accessibility, and administrative tools may require prior approval and clear lawful-use limitations.
29. Malware and Prohibited Digital Products
GSO prohibits digital products containing or facilitating:
- Malware;
- Ransomware;
- Viruses;
- Backdoors;
- Credential theft;
- Data exfiltration;
- Unauthorized remote access;
- Hidden cryptocurrency mining;
- Destructive code;
- Phishing kits;
- Payment fraud;
- Identity theft;
- Unlawful software piracy or license bypass.
30. Academic Dishonesty and Fraudulent Credentials
GSO prohibits:
- Completing graded coursework for another person;
- Taking examinations for another person;
- Selling completed assignments intended for submission as original work;
- Fabricating transcripts or diplomas;
- Providing false professional certifications;
- Plagiarism services;
- Admissions fraud;
- Services intended to evade academic-integrity controls.
Tutoring, editing, study guides, educational resources, and legitimate academic assistance may be permitted when they do not complete prohibited work for the student.
31. Regulated and High-Risk Services
The following require prior approval and all applicable credentials:
- Legal services;
- Medical and mental-health services;
- Tax and accounting services;
- Investment or financial advice;
- Credit and debt services;
- Engineering and architectural services;
- Real-estate brokerage;
- Insurance services;
- Childcare or eldercare;
- Transportation services;
- Security services;
- Beauty and personal services requiring licenses;
- Other regulated professional services.
Services may be prohibited when GSO cannot reasonably support required licensing, identity, safety, jurisdictional, insurance, or complaint procedures.
32. Employment, Housing, and Opportunity Listings
Employment, independent-contractor, housing, lending, education, and opportunity listings must be lawful, truthful, and nondiscriminatory.
Prohibited listings include:
- Job scams;
- Advance-fee employment schemes;
- Unlawful discriminatory requirements;
- Misclassified or deceptive employment;
- Housing scams;
- Unlawful tenant-screening services;
- Opportunities involving illegal conduct;
- Guaranteed-income schemes without support.
33. Travel, Events, Tickets, and Reservations
Tickets, reservations, travel services, and event access may require prior approval.
Prohibited activity includes:
- Counterfeit tickets;
- Stolen reservations;
- Tickets sold in violation of transfer restrictions or law;
- Speculative tickets not controlled by the seller;
- Misrepresented seating, access, or event terms;
- Unauthorized travel-agent services;
- Fraudulent lodging or vacation rentals.
34. Vehicles and Transportation Products
Motor vehicles, motorcycles, boats, aircraft, vehicle titles, and regulated vehicle transactions are prohibited unless GSO establishes a separately approved program.
Ordinary lawful vehicle parts and accessories may be permitted when:
- Accurately described;
- Not stolen;
- Not counterfeit;
- Not recalled;
- Not designed primarily to defeat emissions, safety, mileage, or identification systems unlawfully;
- Eligible for lawful shipment.
35. Cultural Property and Protected Artifacts
GSO prohibits:
- Looted cultural property;
- Illegally exported antiquities;
- Stolen religious or ceremonial items;
- Protected archaeological artifacts;
- Unauthorized Native American cultural items or human remains;
- Items removed from burial, historic, military, or protected sites unlawfully;
- Artifacts lacking required provenance or export documentation.
36. Sanctions, Import, and Export Restrictions
Users may not offer, purchase, ship, license, deliver, or receive an item in violation of:
- Economic sanctions;
- Export controls;
- Import restrictions;
- Customs requirements;
- Embargoes;
- Restricted-party rules;
- Product-origin requirements;
- Other trade restrictions.
Users may not conceal origin, destination, end user, ownership, or transaction purpose to evade a restriction.
37. Restricted-Category Approval
A restricted offering may not be listed until GSO provides written or system-recorded approval.
Approval may be conditioned on:
- Identity and business verification;
- Licenses and permits;
- Insurance;
- Manufacturer or supplier documentation;
- Testing and certifications;
- Label and claim review;
- Age verification;
- Location restrictions;
- Special shipping or fulfillment controls;
- Returns, adverse-event, incident, and recall procedures;
- Higher reserves or payout holds;
- Additional contractual terms.
Approval may be withdrawn when circumstances, laws, provider requirements, risk, or documentation change.
38. Documentation and Certification
GSO may request:
- Invoices and purchase records;
- Manufacturer information;
- Certificates of authenticity;
- Safety certificates;
- Testing reports;
- Children’s Product Certificates;
- Licenses and permits;
- Ingredient and formulation records;
- Lot, batch, serial, and expiration information;
- Insurance certificates;
- Recall checks;
- Import or export records;
- Other evidence reasonably necessary to assess compliance.
Documents must be genuine, current, complete, and applicable to the listed product.
39. Listing Removal and Transaction Cancellation
GSO may immediately:
- Reject or remove a listing;
- Disable a digital file;
- Cancel an order;
- Block shipment or delivery where feasible;
- Issue or require a refund;
- Hold seller proceeds;
- Apply a reserve;
- Request a recall or buyer notice;
- Preserve evidence;
- Report the matter to providers, regulators, rights holders, or authorities.
Removal does not establish final civil or criminal liability.
40. Reporting Prohibited Items
Submit reports through the Help Center using:

A report should include:
- The listing URL or identifier;
- The seller or account name;
- The reason for concern;
- Supporting documents or screenshots;
- Any recall, regulator, rights-holder, or manufacturer information;
- Any immediate safety risk.
Knowingly false or anti-competitive reports are prohibited.
41. Enforcement
Violations may result in:
- Listing rejection or removal;
- Order cancellation;
- Refunds;
- Payout holds and reserves;
- Category restrictions;
- Loss of seller, affiliate, advertising, or membership privileges;
- Account suspension or termination;
- Recovery of losses and costs;
- Evidence preservation;
- Reports to payment providers, carriers, regulators, rights holders, law enforcement, or other authorized parties;
- Legal action.
42. Changes to This Policy
GSO may update this Policy prospectively based on changes in law, safety information, recalls, payment-provider requirements, carrier rules, marketplace risk, or business operations.
A product permitted at one time may later be restricted or prohibited. Sellers must comply with current requirements and promptly remove affected listings.
