Buyer Protection & Buyer Rules

Effective Date: July 31, 2026

Last Updated: July 31, 2026

This Buyer Protection & Buyer Rules Policy governs purchases, buyer accounts, buyer conduct, order concerns, marketplace claims, and other buyer activity through Good Shit Only™.

Good Shit Only™ is operated by CrownThrive LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. In this Policy, “Good Shit Only,” “GSO,” “CrownThrive,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to CrownThrive LLC and the Good Shit Only marketplace. “Buyer,” “you,” and “your” refer to a person or entity that browses, orders, purchases, licenses, books, downloads, receives, or attempts to obtain an offering through the Platform.

This Policy supplements and is incorporated into the Good Shit Only Terms & Conditions. It must be read together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Seller Agreement, Payments, Fees & PayPal Payouts Policy, Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Digital Products & Licensing Policy, Services & Appointment Policy, Membership Plan Terms, Affiliate Program Terms, Acceptable Use Policy, Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy, Intellectual Property, Counterfeit & DMCA Policy, Trust & Safety Policy, Community, Messaging, Reviews & Ratings Standards, and other applicable Trust Center policies.

By creating a buyer account, placing an order, submitting payment, downloading or accessing a digital product, booking a service, communicating with a seller, submitting a review, opening a marketplace claim, or otherwise using buyer features, you agree to this Policy and all incorporated policies.

GSO Buyer Protection is an administrative marketplace-resolution process. It is not insurance, a warranty, an escrow service, or an unconditional reimbursement guarantee.

Nothing in this Policy waives a consumer right or remedy that applicable law does not permit you to waive.

1. Scope and Purpose

1.1 Covered Buyer Activity

This Policy applies to buyer activity involving:

  • Physical products;
  • Digital downloads and electronically delivered content;
  • Licenses and usage rights;
  • Services and appointments;
  • Custom and personalized products;
  • New, used, vintage, collectible, handmade, and made-to-order products;
  • Memberships and other permitted offerings;
  • Orders sold by independent sellers through GSO;
  • Orders expressly sold by CrownThrive LLC through GSO.

1.2 Purpose

This Policy is intended to:

  • Explain buyer responsibilities;
  • Establish standards for marketplace purchases;
  • Provide a process for reporting order problems;
  • Protect buyers from qualifying non-delivery, material misdescription, defects, fraud, prohibited products, and other covered issues;
  • Protect sellers from fraudulent, abusive, or unsupported claims;
  • Preserve marketplace records and transaction integrity;
  • Support fair, consistent, and evidence-based resolutions.

1.3 Supplemental Terms

A listing, order page, seller policy, checkout disclosure, digital license, service agreement, promotion, or category-specific policy may contain additional terms.

Those terms apply to the transaction unless they conflict with mandatory law or a controlling GSO policy.

2. GSO’s Marketplace Role

2.1 Independent Sellers

Except when CrownThrive LLC is expressly identified as the seller, GSO operates as a marketplace connecting buyers with independent sellers.

The applicable seller is responsible for:

  • The offering;
  • Listing accuracy;
  • Product quality and safety;
  • Inventory;
  • Fulfillment;
  • Shipping and delivery;
  • Digital access;
  • Service performance;
  • Customer support;
  • Returns, warranties, and legally required remedies.

2.2 GSO Transaction Role

GSO may provide listing tools, account services, checkout, payment collection, transaction records, messaging, support, seller payouts, dispute review, and marketplace enforcement.

2.3 No General Product Endorsement

The presence of a listing, seller profile, badge, review, featured placement, sponsored placement, category assignment, or verification indicator does not constitute a guarantee or endorsement by GSO.

2.4 CrownThrive Direct Sales

When CrownThrive LLC is expressly identified as the seller, CrownThrive is responsible for that transaction under the listing, this Policy, applicable supplemental terms, and law.

2.5 No Guaranteed Marketplace Intervention

GSO may review and assist with qualifying disputes but is not required to resolve every disagreement, compensate every buyer, or act as a court, arbitrator, insurer, or guarantor.

3. Buyer Eligibility

3.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least eighteen years old and have reached the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to create an account, submit payment, enter a binding transaction, or independently use buyer features.

3.2 Authority for Organizations

If you purchase for a company, organization, nonprofit, agency, school, or other entity, you represent that you are authorized to act for and bind that entity.

3.3 Lawful Purchases

You may purchase only offerings that you may lawfully acquire, possess, import, download, license, receive, and use in your jurisdiction.

3.4 Sanctions and Restrictions

You may not transact if doing so would violate applicable sanctions, export controls, court orders, payment restrictions, age restrictions, or other law.

3.5 Accurate Eligibility Information

You must provide truthful information concerning age, location, identity, eligibility, intended recipient, and other matters relevant to a transaction.

4. Buyer Accounts and Security

4.1 Accurate Account Information

You must provide and maintain accurate:

  • Name;
  • Email address;
  • Telephone number;
  • Billing address;
  • Shipping address;
  • Payment information;
  • Other information required for an order.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for protecting your password, devices, email account, authentication methods, and GSO account access.

4.3 Unauthorized Access

You must promptly report suspected account takeover, unauthorized purchases, identity misuse, credential theft, or payment fraud through the Help Center.

4.4 Activity Through Your Account

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise or reliable evidence establishes unauthorized access.

4.5 Duplicate Accounts

You may not create duplicate accounts to obtain repeated promotions, evade restrictions, manipulate reviews, conceal chargebacks, avoid unpaid balances, or interfere with marketplace enforcement.

4.6 Account Transfers

Buyer accounts may not be sold, assigned, leased, transferred, or shared for unlawful or deceptive purposes.

5. Responsibilities Before Purchasing

5.1 Review the Listing

Before submitting an order, you should review:

  • The seller’s identity and profile;
  • The complete product or service description;
  • Images, videos, samples, and demonstrations;
  • Product condition;
  • Materials, ingredients, measurements, quantity, and variations;
  • Compatibility and technical requirements;
  • Processing and delivery estimates;
  • Shipping charges and available delivery methods;
  • Return, cancellation, and warranty terms;
  • Digital license restrictions;
  • Service scope and deliverables;
  • Customization instructions;
  • Age, geographic, legal, or usage restrictions;
  • The full price, taxes, fees, and disclosed charges.

5.2 Ask Questions Before Ordering

You should ask the seller for clarification before purchasing when a material detail is unclear.

5.3 Compatibility

You are responsible for confirming size, fit, measurements, file format, device compatibility, software requirements, installation needs, service location, and other disclosed compatibility matters.

5.4 Local Law

You are responsible for determining whether you may lawfully import, possess, receive, download, license, or use an offering in your jurisdiction.

5.5 Independent Judgment

Reviews, rankings, badges, recommendations, advertisements, and featured placements may assist your decision but are not substitutes for reviewing the listing and exercising reasonable judgment.

6. Orders and Purchase Commitments

6.1 Binding Purchase

By placing an order, you make a binding commitment to purchase the selected offering at the price and on the terms displayed at checkout.

6.2 Information Required to Fulfill

You must provide complete and accurate shipping, billing, sizing, customization, appointment, delivery, and contact information.

6.3 Buyer-Caused Delay

A seller is not responsible for a delay caused by your failure to provide required information, approvals, measurements, files, access, availability, or instructions.

6.4 Order Confirmation

An automated confirmation acknowledges receipt of an order but does not necessarily confirm final acceptance, inventory, legal eligibility, fraud clearance, or fulfillment.

6.5 Material Changes

A seller may not materially change the offering, price, quantity, scope, or agreed delivery terms without your approval, except where law or a controlling policy permits cancellation or correction.

6.6 No Resale or Misuse

You may not purchase an offering for fraud, unlawful resale, sanctions evasion, infringement, harassment, exploitation, unauthorized distribution, or another prohibited purpose.

7. Payments and Payment Authorization

7.1 Authorization

By submitting a payment method, you authorize GSO and its designated payment providers to charge the total shown at checkout, including:

  • Product or service price;
  • Shipping and handling;
  • Taxes;
  • Membership or service charges;
  • Other clearly disclosed amounts.

7.2 Payment Provider Terms

Payment processing may be subject to the separate terms, privacy practices, authorization procedures, fraud controls, and dispute rules of the applicable provider or financial institution.

7.3 Payment Failure

An order may be rejected, canceled, delayed, or limited if payment is declined, reversed, unauthorized, incomplete, fraudulent, or otherwise unsuccessful.

7.4 Currency

Unless otherwise stated, prices are displayed in United States dollars. Your payment provider may apply currency-conversion rates or fees.

7.5 Off-Platform Payment

Buyer Protection generally applies only to transactions completed through the authorized GSO checkout and payment process.

Do not send payment by wire transfer, gift card, cryptocurrency, cash-transfer service, direct invoice, external link, or another method requested outside GSO unless GSO expressly authorizes that method for the transaction.

7.6 Unauthorized Payment Requests

You should report any seller who asks you to move payment outside GSO to avoid marketplace fees, records, or protections.

8. Order Review, Rejection, and Cancellation

8.1 Marketplace Review

GSO or the seller may review an order for:

  • Payment authorization;
  • Fraud or identity concerns;
  • Inventory;
  • Pricing errors;
  • Shipping restrictions;
  • Age or location restrictions;
  • Sanctions or export controls;
  • Safety concerns;
  • Account restrictions;
  • Other legitimate business or legal reasons.

8.2 Order Rejection or Cancellation

An order may be rejected or canceled when:

  • The offering is unavailable;
  • The price contains an obvious material error;
  • Required information is missing;
  • The seller cannot lawfully fulfill the order;
  • The buyer is not eligible;
  • Fraud or unauthorized activity is reasonably suspected;
  • The product or seller becomes restricted;
  • Fulfillment would create a material safety risk;
  • Another reasonable and lawful basis exists.

8.3 Refund After Cancellation

When a paid order is properly canceled before fulfillment, the applicable amount will be refunded or reversed according to the payment provider’s processing procedures and applicable policy.

8.4 Buyer Cancellation

Your ability to cancel depends on the listing, seller terms, product category, fulfillment status, customization status, applicable GSO policy, and law.

8.5 Cancellation Requests Are Not Guaranteed

Submitting a cancellation request does not guarantee cancellation if fulfillment, production, download, access, service performance, or shipment has already begun and the transaction is lawfully non-cancelable.

9. Physical Products

9.1 Product Condition

Physical products must materially match the description, photographs, condition, quantity, variation, and other material listing information.

9.2 Reasonable Variations

Minor variations may occur in handmade, natural, vintage, customized, printed, dyed, photographed, or screen-displayed products.

A minor variation that does not materially affect the product’s identity, function, value, or disclosed characteristics may not qualify as material misdescription.

9.3 Inspection After Delivery

You should inspect a delivered product promptly and report:

  • Damage;
  • Defects;
  • Wrong items;
  • Missing components;
  • Safety problems;
  • Signs of tampering;
  • Material differences from the listing.

9.4 Packaging

You should preserve packaging, labels, shipping materials, tracking records, and the product while a claim is under review.

9.5 Buyer Use

A claim may be limited or denied if the product was materially altered, damaged, consumed, installed incorrectly, used contrary to instructions, or subjected to misuse after delivery.

10. Shipping, Delivery, and Delays

10.1 Seller Shipping Obligations

A seller must have a reasonable basis for the processing and shipping timeframe stated in the listing.

For covered physical merchandise, if no shipping timeframe is clearly stated, the seller is generally expected to ship within thirty days after receiving a properly completed order, unless a different legal rule applies.

10.2 Shipment Versus Delivery

A processing or shipping estimate may describe when the seller expects to transfer the package to the carrier. It does not necessarily guarantee the final delivery date unless the listing expressly states otherwise.

10.3 Shipping Delay

When a seller cannot ship covered merchandise within the promised or applicable timeframe, the seller or GSO may:

  • Provide a revised shipping estimate;
  • Explain the available cancellation option;
  • Request your consent to a delay where required;
  • Cancel the order and issue a refund where required or appropriate.

10.4 Consent to Delay

Where affirmative consent is required, your order will not remain open solely because you failed to respond.

10.5 Tracking

Tracking information is evidence of shipment or delivery but may be reviewed with additional information when accuracy is disputed.

10.6 Delivered Status

If a carrier marks an order delivered but you cannot locate it, you should:

  • Verify the delivery address;
  • Check with household members, neighbors, building personnel, and designated delivery areas;
  • Contact the carrier;
  • Notify the seller promptly;
  • File a GSO claim when appropriate.

10.7 Buyer Address Error

A buyer may be responsible for costs or loss caused by an incomplete, inaccurate, undeliverable, or unauthorized address supplied by the buyer.

10.8 Customs and Import Charges

Unless stated otherwise, a buyer may be responsible for lawful customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, inspections, and local fees.

10.9 Carrier Delays

GSO does not control postal services or carriers. A carrier delay after timely seller shipment does not automatically establish seller misconduct, but GSO may review the circumstances and applicable seller commitments.

11. Digital Products and Licenses

11.1 Digital Offerings

Digital offerings may include:

  • Ebooks;
  • Music and audio;
  • Video;
  • Artwork;
  • Templates;
  • Software;
  • Courses;
  • Documents and files;
  • Access credentials;
  • Licenses;
  • Other electronically delivered content.

11.2 License Rather Than Ownership

Unless the listing expressly states otherwise, purchasing a digital product grants only the license described in the listing. Copyright and other ownership rights remain with the applicable rights holder.

11.3 Buyer Responsibilities

Before purchasing, you must review:

  • File format;
  • Software and device requirements;
  • Download limits;
  • Access period;
  • Personal or commercial usage rights;
  • Modification rights;
  • Attribution requirements;
  • Prohibited uses;
  • Support and update terms.

11.4 Prohibited Uses

Unless expressly licensed, you may not:

  • Resell or redistribute the product;
  • Share download links or access credentials;
  • Upload the product to file-sharing services;
  • Remove copyright or attribution notices;
  • Sublicense or commercially exploit the product;
  • Use the product to train an artificial-intelligence system;
  • Claim authorship or ownership;
  • Use the content in an unlawful or infringing manner.

11.5 Digital Refund Limitations

A digital product may be non-refundable after access, download, delivery, activation, streaming, or license issuance unless:

  • The file cannot be accessed because of seller fault;
  • The product is materially defective;
  • The product is materially different from the listing;
  • The seller lacked authority to provide it;
  • The file contains malicious or prohibited content;
  • A refund is required by law or another controlling policy.

11.6 Technical Assistance

You must provide reasonable information about a technical problem and allow the seller a reasonable opportunity to provide a corrected file, access method, or compatible version when appropriate.

12. Services and Appointments

12.1 Independent Providers

Unless CrownThrive is expressly identified as the provider, services are performed by independent service providers.

12.2 Review Service Terms

Before booking, you must review:

  • Scope;
  • Deliverables;
  • Price and deposits;
  • Location;
  • Duration;
  • Scheduling requirements;
  • Cancellation and rescheduling rules;
  • Revision limits;
  • Buyer responsibilities;
  • Exclusions;
  • Qualifications and licensing where relevant.

12.3 Buyer Attendance and Cooperation

You must attend appointments, provide required access or materials, maintain safe conditions, and communicate delays or cancellation promptly.

12.4 Subjective Satisfaction

Buyer Protection does not create a general satisfaction guarantee for subjective preferences when the provider materially performed the accurately described service.

12.5 Potentially Covered Service Problems

A service concern may qualify for review when:

  • The provider fails to appear or perform;
  • The provider materially fails to deliver the agreed scope;
  • The service is materially misrepresented;
  • The provider lacks a legally required credential;
  • The service creates a material safety concern;
  • The provider makes an unauthorized material substitution;
  • Another applicable policy or law requires relief.

12.6 Professional Advice

GSO does not independently provide legal, medical, tax, accounting, investment, mental-health, engineering, or other regulated professional advice merely by hosting a provider.

13. Custom and Personalized Products

13.1 Buyer Instructions

You are responsible for submitting accurate:

  • Names and spelling;
  • Measurements;
  • Colors and variations;
  • Files and photographs;
  • Text and wording;
  • Deadlines;
  • Approvals;
  • Other customization information.

13.2 Approval of Proofs

When a seller provides a proof or preview, your approval may authorize production based on that proof.

13.3 Buyer Errors

Buyer Protection generally does not cover an error that accurately reproduces information, spelling, measurements, files, or instructions supplied or approved by the buyer.

13.4 Seller Errors

A custom product may qualify for review when the seller materially departs from the approved instructions, proof, description, or agreed specifications.

13.5 Cancellation

Custom and made-to-order products may become non-cancelable after design, sourcing, production, personalization, or other disclosed work begins.

14. Used, Vintage, and Collectible Products

14.1 Condition Expectations

Used, vintage, antique, refurbished, open-box, and collectible products may show age, wear, repairs, patina, packaging damage, prior use, or other disclosed condition characteristics.

14.2 Disclosed Flaws

Buyer Protection generally does not cover a flaw, defect, wear condition, missing packaging, restoration, or limitation clearly disclosed before purchase.

14.3 Authenticity Claims

A seller making a material authenticity, origin, maker, edition, signature, certification, or provenance claim must have a reasonable basis for that claim.

14.4 Grading Differences

Minor good-faith differences in subjective grading may not qualify as material misdescription unless the listing materially overstates condition or conceals a significant defect.

14.5 Buyer Inspection

Buyers should carefully review photographs, measurements, condition descriptions, and available documentation before purchasing.

15. GSO Buyer Protection Overview

15.1 Administrative Resolution Process

GSO Buyer Protection provides a process through which an eligible buyer may ask GSO to review a qualifying problem with an eligible marketplace transaction.

15.2 No Insurance or Guarantee

Buyer Protection:

  • Is not insurance;
  • Is not a bank or card-network guarantee;
  • Is not an escrow service;
  • Does not guarantee reimbursement;
  • Does not cover every disagreement or loss;
  • Does not replace applicable legal or payment-provider rights.

15.3 Evidence-Based Review

GSO may consider:

  • The listing;
  • Order and payment records;
  • Messages;
  • Shipping and tracking records;
  • Delivery confirmation;
  • Photographs and video;
  • Digital-access logs;
  • Service records;
  • Return tracking;
  • Seller and buyer history;
  • Applicable policies;
  • Other reliable evidence.

15.4 Case-by-Case Determination

Each claim is evaluated according to its facts. A decision in one claim does not create a binding precedent for another claim.

15.5 Legal Rights Preserved

The internal claim process does not waive a right that applicable law does not permit you to waive.

16. Transactions Eligible for Review

16.1 General Requirements

A transaction generally must meet all of the following requirements:

  • The order was placed through the authorized GSO checkout;
  • Payment was successfully processed through an approved method;
  • The buyer used a valid GSO account or supplied sufficient order information;
  • The offering was eligible for sale through GSO;
  • The buyer complied with applicable listing and transaction requirements;
  • The buyer filed the claim within the applicable period;
  • The buyer provides requested evidence and cooperation;
  • The buyer has not already received full compensation for the same loss.

16.2 Guest Orders

A guest order may be reviewed if the buyer can verify identity, order information, payment, and control of the email or contact information associated with the transaction.

16.3 CrownThrive Direct Orders

Orders expressly sold by CrownThrive may be reviewed under this Policy and any more specific product, membership, or service terms.

16.4 Off-Platform Transactions

A payment or agreement completed outside GSO is generally not eligible for GSO Buyer Protection, even if the buyer first discovered the seller through GSO.

16.5 Split Transactions

If only part of a transaction was processed through GSO, Buyer Protection generally applies only to the portion documented and paid through GSO.

17. Potentially Covered Order Problems

Subject to evidence, exclusions, deadlines, and applicable policy, GSO may review claims involving:

17.1 Non-Delivery

  • The seller did not ship the product;
  • The order was not delivered;
  • Tracking is invalid or unrelated to the order;
  • The seller cannot provide reasonable fulfillment evidence;
  • The seller materially missed a required delivery commitment without an accepted delay.

17.2 Material Misdescription

  • The product is materially different from the listing;
  • The wrong product or variation was delivered;
  • A significant characteristic, ingredient, material, quantity, condition, or limitation was misrepresented;
  • A significant undisclosed defect materially affects use or value;
  • An unauthorized substitution was made.

17.3 Damage or Defect

  • The product arrives materially damaged;
  • The product is defective upon receipt;
  • Material components are missing;
  • The product cannot reasonably perform its described primary function.

17.4 Counterfeit or Unauthorized Products

  • The product is counterfeit;
  • The seller materially misrepresented authenticity;
  • The seller lacked authority to sell or license the offering;
  • The product infringes rights in a manner affecting the buyer’s lawful use.

17.5 Digital Product Problems

  • No digital access is provided;
  • The supplied file is materially corrupted or unusable;
  • The product materially differs from the description;
  • The file contains malicious code;
  • The license materially differs from the terms presented before purchase.

17.6 Service Problems

  • The provider fails to perform;
  • The provider materially fails to deliver the agreed scope;
  • The service is materially misrepresented;
  • The provider makes a material unauthorized substitution;
  • The service creates a qualifying safety or legal concern.

17.7 Prohibited or Unsafe Products

  • The offering violates GSO’s Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy;
  • The product is subject to a qualifying safety recall;
  • The product creates a material undisclosed safety risk;
  • The product is stolen or unlawfully supplied.

17.8 Other Required Relief

GSO may review another issue when relief is required by applicable law or a controlling GSO policy.

18. Generally Excluded Order Problems

Buyer Protection generally does not cover:

  • Buyer remorse or a change of mind where returns are not offered or required;
  • A product the buyer no longer wants;
  • A disclosed flaw, limitation, condition, or characteristic;
  • Minor variations that do not materially affect identity, function, value, or described characteristics;
  • Incorrect size, compatibility, file format, or fit that was accurately disclosed;
  • Buyer errors in address, measurements, spelling, files, customization, or approved proofs;
  • Normal wear in a used, vintage, antique, or collectible product;
  • Subjective dissatisfaction with a service that was materially performed as described;
  • Damage caused after delivery by misuse, alteration, installation, storage, accident, or failure to follow instructions;
  • A transaction completed outside GSO;
  • Customs charges or lawful import restrictions disclosed or imposed by authorities;
  • A carrier delay after timely shipment, absent a material delivery guarantee or other covered issue;
  • A claim filed outside the applicable period without a legally protected basis for extension;
  • A claim unsupported by reasonably requested evidence;
  • Loss already reimbursed by a seller, carrier, insurer, payment provider, card issuer, or another source;
  • Consequential, indirect, business, reputational, or speculative losses;
  • Unauthorized resale, redistribution, or licensing activity by the buyer;
  • A violation caused by the buyer’s own unlawful or prohibited conduct.

An exclusion does not apply where mandatory law requires another result.

19. Contacting the Seller First

19.1 Initial Contact

Before opening a GSO claim, you should contact the seller through the approved marketplace messaging or order-support process and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

19.2 Exceptions

You may contact GSO immediately without first contacting the seller when the matter involves:

  • Suspected fraud;
  • Account security;
  • Threats or harassment;
  • A dangerous product;
  • A recall;
  • Counterfeit goods;
  • Illegal activity;
  • A seller who is unavailable or suspended;
  • Another urgent concern.

19.3 Reasonable Seller Opportunity

A seller may offer:

  • Troubleshooting;
  • A corrected file;
  • A replacement;
  • A missing component;
  • A partial refund;
  • A full refund;
  • A return;
  • Rescheduling;
  • Another reasonable remedy.

19.4 No Coercion

A seller may not require you to withdraw an honest review, waive non-waivable rights, make false statements, or close a valid payment dispute as a condition of receiving a remedy you are already entitled to receive.

20. Claim Deadlines

20.1 Applicable Claim Window

A claim must be submitted within the deadline stated in the applicable Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy, listing, order record, category policy, or transaction-specific terms.

20.2 Default Non-Delivery Window

When no more specific period is stated, a non-delivery claim should be filed promptly and generally no later than thirty days after the latest estimated delivery date.

20.3 Default Post-Delivery Window

When no more specific period is stated, a claim involving damage, defect, incorrect items, missing components, or material misdescription should be filed promptly and generally no later than fourteen days after recorded delivery.

20.4 Digital Product Window

A digital-access or material-file problem should be reported promptly after delivery or attempted access and generally no later than fourteen days after access was first provided.

20.5 Service Window

A service claim should be filed promptly and generally no later than fourteen days after the scheduled completion date or the date the alleged material problem became reasonably discoverable.

20.6 Safety, Fraud, and Counterfeit Reports

Safety, fraud, stolen-property, counterfeit, and serious legal concerns should be reported immediately. GSO may review those reports outside ordinary claim periods when appropriate.

20.7 Mandatory Rights

An internal claim deadline does not shorten a statutory limitation period or eliminate a remedy that applicable law does not permit GSO to limit.

20.8 Payment-Provider Deadlines

GSO claim periods are separate from deadlines imposed by card issuers, payment providers, carriers, insurers, or government agencies. Buyers are responsible for preserving those independent rights.

21. How to File a Buyer Protection Claim

21.1 Help Center Submission

Submit a claim through the Good Shit Only Help Center or support-ticket system using the subject:

Buyer Protection Claim

21.2 Required Information

Your claim should include:

  • Your full name;
  • Your GSO account email;
  • The order number;
  • The seller or storefront name;
  • The product or service involved;
  • A clear description of the problem;
  • The date the problem occurred or was discovered;
  • The resolution you requested from the seller;
  • The seller’s response;
  • The resolution you are requesting from GSO;
  • Relevant supporting evidence.

21.3 Separate Claims

GSO may require separate claims for separate orders, sellers, shipments, products, or materially different issues.

21.4 Complete and Truthful Submission

All information submitted must be complete, truthful, and not misleading.

21.5 Claim Acknowledgment

GSO may acknowledge the claim and request additional information. An acknowledgment does not mean the claim has been approved.

21.6 Seller Notice

GSO may provide the seller with relevant claim information and a reasonable opportunity to respond.

22. Evidence and Cooperation

22.1 Buyer Evidence

Depending on the issue, GSO may request:

  • Photographs of the product and packaging;
  • Video showing damage, operation, or unboxing;
  • Serial numbers or identifying marks;
  • Measurements;
  • Screenshots;
  • Error messages;
  • Copies of files;
  • Tracking information;
  • Carrier reports;
  • Police, postal, or incident reports where appropriate;
  • Expert or repair documentation where reasonably necessary;
  • Messages with the seller;
  • Appointment or service records;
  • Other relevant evidence.

22.2 Preserve the Item

You must preserve the product, packaging, labels, accessories, files, and other evidence while the claim remains open unless GSO provides different instructions.

22.3 No Destruction or Disposal

Do not destroy, discard, repair, consume, alter, or return a disputed item before receiving instructions when doing so would materially prevent review.

This restriction does not require you to retain an item that creates an immediate health or safety danger. In that situation, document the condition and follow appropriate safety or government instructions.

22.4 Inspection

GSO may require:

  • Return to the seller;
  • Inspection by the seller;
  • Inspection by a qualified third party;
  • Additional photographs or video;
  • Preservation for a regulator, carrier, insurer, or rights holder.

22.5 Failure to Cooperate

A claim may be delayed, limited, or denied if you fail to provide reasonably requested information or prevent meaningful review.

22.6 False Evidence

Altering photographs, fabricating documents, substituting products, falsifying tracking, submitting another person’s evidence, or making knowingly false statements is prohibited.

23. Return Requirements

23.1 Return May Be Required

GSO or the seller may require return of a physical product before a refund, replacement, or other resolution is completed.

23.2 Return Instructions

You must follow the provided:

  • Return address;
  • Deadline;
  • Packaging instructions;
  • Carrier or label instructions;
  • Tracking requirements;
  • Condition requirements;
  • Documentation requirements.

23.3 Correct Product

You must return the same product involved in the claim, including required components, accessories, certificates, packaging, and promotional items.

23.4 Return Tracking

A tracked return may be required. You are responsible for retaining the receipt and tracking information.

23.5 Return Shipping Cost

Responsibility for return shipping depends on:

  • The reason for return;
  • The seller’s disclosed policy;
  • Whether the item was defective, damaged, incorrect, or materially misdescribed;
  • The applicable GSO policy;
  • Mandatory law.

23.6 Buyer-Caused Return

Where a return is permitted solely because of buyer preference, the buyer may be responsible for return shipping, restocking fees, or other clearly disclosed and lawful costs.

23.7 Seller-Caused Return

Where the seller delivered a materially defective, incorrect, damaged, or misdescribed product, the seller may be responsible for reasonable return costs where required by GSO policy or law.

23.8 Failure to Return

A claim may be denied or a refund reversed if you fail to return the product as instructed without a valid legal or safety reason.

24. Available Resolutions

Depending on the evidence, transaction, seller response, applicable law, and available remedy, GSO may facilitate or determine one or more of the following:

  • No action;
  • Additional seller assistance;
  • Troubleshooting;
  • A corrected digital file;
  • A missing component;
  • Repair;
  • Replacement;
  • Service correction or completion;
  • Rescheduling;
  • Return authorization;
  • Partial refund;
  • Full refund;
  • Order cancellation;
  • Marketplace credit where lawful and accepted;
  • Seller-account enforcement;
  • Product removal;
  • Referral to a payment provider, carrier, insurer, regulator, rights holder, or law-enforcement agency;
  • Another reasonable remedy.

24.1 Remedy Selection

The buyer’s requested remedy may be considered but does not control the outcome.

24.2 Repair or Replacement

A repair, replacement, corrected file, or completion may be appropriate when it reasonably resolves the covered problem without creating undue delay, risk, or inconvenience.

24.3 Partial Refund

A partial refund may be appropriate when the buyer retains an offering with a documented reduction in value or when only part of the order is affected.

24.4 Full Refund

A full refund may require return, cancellation, destruction, deletion, access revocation, or other reasonable steps.

25. Refund Scope and Limitations

25.1 Maximum Marketplace Resolution

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, a GSO Buyer Protection payment or refund will not exceed the amount actually paid through GSO for the affected offering, plus applicable transaction taxes and covered shipping charges.

25.2 Excluded Losses

Buyer Protection generally does not reimburse:

  • Lost profits;
  • Lost business opportunities;
  • Reputational harm;
  • Emotional distress;
  • Travel costs;
  • Time spent;
  • Third-party penalties;
  • Replacement purchases made without authorization;
  • Indirect or consequential damages;
  • Amounts not paid through GSO.

25.3 Original Payment Method

Refunds are generally returned to the original payment method unless another method is required by law or approved by GSO.

25.4 Processing Time

After a refund is initiated, the payment provider or financial institution controls final posting and availability.

25.5 Seller Funds

GSO may deduct an approved refund from seller proceeds, reserves, future payouts, or other amounts owed to the seller.

25.6 GSO Funding

Unless required by law or expressly approved by GSO, Buyer Protection does not obligate CrownThrive LLC to fund a seller’s liability from CrownThrive’s own assets when seller funds are unavailable.

25.7 Marketplace Credits

A marketplace credit may be subject to expiration, non-transferability, product restrictions, and other clearly disclosed terms. A buyer is not required to accept credit instead of a cash refund where applicable law requires a monetary refund.

26. Claim Decisions and Reconsideration

26.1 Administrative Decision

GSO may approve, partially approve, deny, close, or request further information concerning a claim.

26.2 Decision Factors

GSO may consider:

  • Listing terms;
  • Transaction records;
  • Policy requirements;
  • Evidence quality;
  • Shipping and delivery records;
  • Seller and buyer cooperation;
  • Prior claims or abuse indicators;
  • Applicable law;
  • Safety and fraud considerations;
  • Other relevant circumstances.

26.3 Reconsideration Request

If you believe a claim decision contains a material factual or policy error, you may submit a reconsideration request through the Help Center using the subject:

Buyer Protection Reconsideration

26.4 Reconsideration Information

The request should identify:

  • The original claim number;
  • The decision being challenged;
  • The specific factual or policy error;
  • New evidence that was not reasonably available earlier;
  • The requested resolution.

26.5 No Repetitive Requests

GSO may close repetitive reconsideration requests that provide no material new evidence or basis for review.

26.6 No Legal Adjudication

A GSO claim decision is an internal marketplace decision. It is not a judicial judgment or binding determination of legal liability outside the Platform.

27. Chargebacks and External Payment Disputes

27.1 Separate Rights

Your card issuer, bank, payment provider, or other financial institution may provide separate dispute rights and deadlines.

27.2 GSO Resolution First

When safe and practical, buyers should attempt to resolve an eligible issue through the seller and GSO before initiating an external payment dispute.

This request does not waive a non-waivable legal right or require you to miss an external dispute deadline.

27.3 Notify GSO

If you initiate a chargeback or external dispute, notify GSO and provide the related case information when requested.

27.4 Duplicate Proceedings

GSO may pause, close, or limit an internal claim while the same transaction is being reviewed by a card issuer, bank, PayPal, payment processor, carrier, insurer, court, or regulator.

27.5 Evidence Sharing

GSO may provide relevant listing, order, communication, delivery, return, account, policy, and claim records to the payment provider responding to a dispute.

27.6 Abusive Chargebacks

The following are prohibited:

  • Knowingly false chargebacks;
  • Claiming non-delivery after confirmed receipt;
  • Claiming unauthorized payment for an authorized purchase;
  • Keeping both the product and a full refund when return is required;
  • Opening repeated disputes for the same loss;
  • Using chargebacks to avoid a valid return or cancellation policy;
  • Submitting fabricated or altered evidence.

28. No Duplicate or Double Recovery

28.1 Single Recovery

You may not receive more than your actual covered loss for the same transaction.

28.2 Other Reimbursements

You must disclose whether you have received or requested compensation from:

  • The seller;
  • GSO;
  • A card issuer;
  • A bank;
  • PayPal or another payment provider;
  • A shipping carrier;
  • An insurer;
  • A manufacturer;
  • A government program;
  • Another source.

28.3 Adjustment or Repayment

GSO may reduce, reverse, or recover a Buyer Protection payment to prevent duplicate recovery.

28.4 Returned Funds

If another provider reimburses you after GSO has already paid the same covered loss, you must promptly notify GSO and return any duplicate amount.

29. Product Safety and Recalls

29.1 Immediate Safety Action

Stop using a product if you reasonably believe it creates a significant safety risk.

29.2 Reporting

Report a dangerous, contaminated, defective, mislabeled, recalled, or unsafe product through the Help Center using the subject:

Product Safety or Recall

29.3 Information to Provide

Where available, include:

  • Order number;
  • Product name;
  • Seller name;
  • Photographs;
  • Model, lot, batch, or serial information;
  • Description of the hazard;
  • Injury or incident information;
  • Packaging and warning labels;
  • Relevant government or manufacturer notice.

29.4 Preservation

Preserve the product and packaging where safe to do so. Follow regulator, manufacturer, emergency, disposal, or recall instructions when applicable.

29.5 Marketplace Actions

GSO may:

  • Remove listings;
  • Suspend sales;
  • Contact buyers;
  • Require seller information;
  • Facilitate refunds or returns;
  • Preserve evidence;
  • Report information to manufacturers, regulators, insurers, or authorities;
  • Take other reasonable safety measures.

29.6 Emergencies

GSO support is not an emergency service. Contact emergency services, poison control, medical professionals, law enforcement, or the appropriate safety authority when immediate help is needed.

30. Counterfeit and Intellectual-Property Concerns

30.1 Counterfeit Report

If you suspect a product is counterfeit, unauthorized, pirated, or materially misrepresented, submit a Help Center ticket using the subject:

Counterfeit or Authenticity Concern

30.2 Evidence

GSO may request:

  • Photographs;
  • Packaging and labels;
  • Serial numbers;
  • Certificates;
  • Comparison information;
  • Manufacturer or rights-holder communications;
  • Expert authentication where appropriate;
  • Return or inspection of the product.

30.3 No Destruction Without Instruction

Do not destroy or dispose of suspected counterfeit goods before receiving instructions unless safety or law requires immediate action.

30.4 Rights-Holder Process

A copyright, trademark, patent, or other rights holder should use the Intellectual Property, Counterfeit & DMCA reporting process.

30.5 Buyer Liability

A buyer may not knowingly purchase counterfeit goods for unlawful resale, distribution, infringement, or evasion of marketplace enforcement.

31. Buyer Information and Privacy

31.1 Information Shared With Sellers

GSO may provide a seller with information reasonably necessary to fulfill and support an order, including:

  • Buyer name;
  • Shipping address;
  • Contact information;
  • Order details;
  • Customization instructions;
  • Appointment information;
  • Transaction communications.

31.2 Seller Restrictions

Sellers may use buyer information only for transaction fulfillment, customer service, safety, fraud prevention, legally required records, and other lawful purposes described in applicable policies.

31.3 Buyer Responsibility

Do not send unnecessary sensitive information through marketplace messages. Never send:

  • Your account password;
  • A complete payment-card number;
  • Online banking credentials;
  • Social Security numbers unless a secure and legally required process specifically requests them;
  • Other unnecessary sensitive personal information.

31.4 Privacy Rights

Information about data collection, use, disclosure, retention, security, and privacy rights is available in the GSO Privacy Policy.

31.5 Reporting Misuse

Report suspected misuse of buyer information through the Help Center using the subject:

Privacy or Security Concern

32. Messaging and Communications

32.1 Marketplace Communications

Use approved marketplace messaging and support tools for order-related communication whenever practical.

32.2 Professional Conduct

Messages must remain lawful and professional.

32.3 Prohibited Communications

You may not use GSO communications to:

  • Harass or threaten;
  • Stalk or intimidate;
  • Discriminate unlawfully;
  • Send sexual or exploitative content;
  • Extort a refund or benefit;
  • Demand an off-platform payment;
  • Send spam or malware;
  • Impersonate another person;
  • Solicit fraud or unlawful conduct;
  • Disclose another person’s private information.

32.4 Message Review

GSO may review messages when reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate a complaint, prevent fraud, protect safety, enforce policies, or comply with law.

32.5 No Manipulation

You may not edit, omit, fabricate, or selectively present messages in a manner intended to materially mislead GSO, a payment provider, or another reviewer.

33. Reviews, Ratings, and Feedback

33.1 Genuine Experience

A review must reflect your genuine experience with the applicable seller, product, service, or transaction.

33.2 Honest Opinion

You may express honest positive or negative opinions, but factual claims should be truthful and reasonably supported.

33.3 Prohibited Review Conduct

You may not:

  • Submit a fake review;
  • Review a product you did not genuinely experience;
  • Use artificial intelligence to fabricate an experience that did not occur;
  • Submit reviews through duplicate or coordinated accounts;
  • Accept compensation conditioned on a positive or negative sentiment;
  • Fail to disclose a material connection where disclosure is required;
  • Use a review to threaten, extort, harass, or disclose private information;
  • Post unlawful, defamatory, infringing, hateful, or irrelevant content;
  • Review a competitor dishonestly to damage the competitor;
  • Trade review removal for benefits you are not entitled to receive.

33.4 Incentivized Reviews

A review incentive must not be conditioned expressly or implicitly on the review expressing a particular sentiment. Any material incentive or relationship must be clearly disclosed where required.

33.5 Review Moderation

GSO may remove or limit reviews that violate policy. GSO will not remove a compliant review merely because it is negative.

33.6 Seller Responses

A seller may respond to a review but may not use unfounded legal threats, intimidation, harassment, false accusations, or retaliation to force removal or alteration.

33.7 Resolution Updates

You may voluntarily update a review to reflect a later resolution, but GSO or a seller may not require a false statement.

34. Prohibited Buyer Conduct

A buyer may not:

  • Use GSO for unlawful activity;
  • Provide false account, payment, shipping, identity, or claim information;
  • Use stolen or unauthorized payment methods;
  • Commit return fraud;
  • Substitute a different item in a return;
  • Falsely claim non-delivery, damage, defect, counterfeit status, or unauthorized payment;
  • Damage a product to obtain a refund;
  • Keep a product when return is required for a refund;
  • Seek duplicate compensation;
  • Abuse coupons, promotions, credits, memberships, referrals, or accounts;
  • Create fake orders, reviews, clicks, or marketplace activity;
  • Manipulate affiliate attribution;
  • Move transactions outside GSO to avoid marketplace requirements;
  • Harass, threaten, discriminate against, stalk, exploit, or impersonate another person;
  • Extort a seller using reviews, chargebacks, reports, or threats;
  • Submit fabricated or altered evidence;
  • Purchase prohibited items;
  • Use products, services, or digital content unlawfully;
  • Attempt to bypass security or account restrictions;
  • Assist another person in violating GSO policies.

35. Buyer Fraud and Abuse

35.1 Fraud Review

GSO may use transaction records, account information, device information, payment-provider results, delivery records, claim patterns, public records, and other lawful information to detect fraud and abuse.

35.2 Additional Verification

GSO may request identity, payment, delivery, account-control, or claim verification before processing an order, refund, account change, or claim.

35.3 Claim Pattern Review

A high number of claims does not automatically establish fraud, but GSO may review repeated, inconsistent, unusual, or unsupported claims.

35.4 Consequences

Buyer fraud or abuse may result in:

  • Claim denial;
  • Refund reversal;
  • Order cancellation;
  • Payment-method restriction;
  • Account suspension or termination;
  • Recovery of amounts owed;
  • Evidence preservation;
  • Reports to payment providers, sellers, carriers, insurers, regulators, or law enforcement;
  • Civil or criminal action where appropriate.

35.5 Honest Mistakes

GSO may distinguish between a good-faith mistake and intentional deception based on the available evidence and user cooperation.

36. Account Restrictions and Termination

36.1 Grounds for Action

GSO may warn, limit, suspend, or terminate a buyer account when:

  • This Policy or another GSO policy is violated;
  • Account or payment information is false or unverifiable;
  • Fraud or unauthorized activity is reasonably suspected;
  • Claims, returns, reviews, promotions, or chargebacks are abused;
  • The buyer threatens or harasses sellers, users, or GSO personnel;
  • The buyer purchases prohibited products;
  • The account creates material legal, security, payment, or safety risk;
  • A payment provider, regulator, court, or authority requires action;
  • Another reasonable enforcement basis exists.

36.2 Immediate Restriction

GSO may act without advance notice when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, injury, unlawful activity, security compromise, evidence destruction, or other serious harm.

36.3 Pending Orders

Account restriction may result in order review, cancellation, refund delay, claim review, or limitation of future transactions.

36.4 Outstanding Obligations

Suspension or termination does not eliminate obligations concerning payments, returns, duplicate refunds, fraud, legal claims, privacy, intellectual property, or other surviving duties.

36.5 New Accounts

You may not create another account to evade a restriction or termination.

37. Buyer Protection Disclaimers

Except when CrownThrive LLC is expressly identified as the seller, GSO does not manufacture, inspect, store, install, ship, or perform third-party offerings and is not responsible for third-party conduct except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.

Nothing in this section excludes a warranty, duty, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

38. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CROWNTHRIVE LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • LOSSES ARISING FROM A THIRD-PARTY PRODUCT OR SERVICE;
  • UNAUTHORIZED ACCOUNT ACCESS NOT CAUSED BY LEGALLY ACTIONABLE GSO CONDUCT;

  • LOSSES EXCEEDING THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE AFFECTED TRANSACTION.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GSO’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO A BUYER ACCOUNT, TRANSACTION, CLAIM, THIS POLICY, OR THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

  1. The amount paid by the buyer through GSO for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim; or
  2. One hundred United States dollars.

These limitations do not apply to liability that applicable law does not permit GSO to limit.

  • Your account email;
  • The order or claim number;
  • A description of the dispute;
  • The relief requested;

39.4 Buyer-Seller Disputes

A GSO Buyer Protection decision does not prevent a buyer or seller from pursuing an independent legal remedy where permitted.

GSO is not required to represent either party in a private buyer-seller dispute.

40. Changes to This Policy

40.1 Updates

GSO may update this Policy to reflect changes in:
