Payments, Fees & PayPal Payouts Policy

Effective Date: July 31, 2026

Last Updated: July 31, 2026

This Payments, Fees & PayPal Payouts Policy governs customer payments, seller proceeds, marketplace fees, seller-funded affiliate commissions, refunds, payment disputes, reserves, payout requests, PayPal payouts, negative balances, taxes, and related financial activity through Good Shit Only™.

Good Shit Only™ is operated by CrownThrive LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. In this Policy, “Good Shit Only,” “GSO,” “CrownThrive,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to CrownThrive LLC and the Good Shit Only marketplace.

“Seller” refers to an independent person or business that lists or sells an offering through GSO. “Affiliate” refers to an approved participant who may earn commissions from qualifying referrals. “Buyer” refers to a person or entity purchasing an offering through GSO.

This Policy supplements and is incorporated into the Good Shit Only Terms & Conditions, Seller Agreement, Buyer Protection & Buyer Rules, Privacy Policy, Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy, Membership Plan Terms, Affiliate Program Terms, and other applicable Trust Center policies.

By placing an order, submitting payment, activating seller features, receiving seller proceeds, participating in the Affiliate Program, requesting a payout, providing PayPal information, or otherwise using a payment or payout feature, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.

PayPal is currently the only payout method supported by GSO. GSO may add, replace, restrict, or discontinue payout methods in the future.

  • An advertising or promotional program;
  • A payout request;
  • A payment-provider interface;

Those specific terms form part of this Policy for the applicable activity.

2. Payment and Payout Definitions

For purposes of this Policy:

  • Available Balance means eligible seller or affiliate proceeds that GSO currently permits the recipient to request for payout, after applicable deductions, holds, reserves, and adjustments.
  • Buyer Payment means an amount successfully submitted by a buyer through an authorized GSO payment method.
  • Chargeback means a payment dispute, reversal, retrieval request, or similar action initiated through a card issuer, bank, payment provider, or payment network.
  • Gross Transaction Amount means the total customer payment associated with a transaction before applicable deductions.
  • Marketplace Fee means a commission, listing fee, membership charge, advertising fee, service fee, or other amount payable to GSO.
  • Negative Balance means an amount owed to GSO because deductions, reversals, refunds, chargebacks, fees, or other liabilities exceed available seller or affiliate proceeds.
  • Net Seller Proceeds means the amount attributable to a seller after applicable fees, commissions, taxes, refunds, reserves, chargebacks, and other authorized deductions.
  • PayPal Payout means a payment initiated by GSO through PayPal to an eligible recipient using the recipient information provided to GSO.
  • Pending Balance means transaction proceeds that have been recorded but are not yet eligible for payout.
  • Payout means the transfer of eligible net proceeds from GSO through an approved payout provider.
  • Payout Request means a seller’s or affiliate’s request that GSO process all or part of an eligible Available Balance.
  • Reserve means proceeds temporarily withheld to address reasonably anticipated refunds, chargebacks, disputes, fulfillment obligations, safety claims, legal requirements, or other financial risks.
  • Seller-Funded Affiliate Commission means an amount deducted from a participating seller’s proceeds and credited to an eligible affiliate for a qualifying referred transaction.

3. GSO’s Marketplace Payment Role

3.1 Marketplace Collection

GSO provides an authorized checkout through which buyers may pay for eligible offerings sold by independent sellers or directly by CrownThrive LLC.

3.2 Independent Sellers

Except when CrownThrive LLC is expressly identified as the seller, the independent seller remains the seller of record and is responsible for the offering, fulfillment, customer service, returns, warranties, safety, and legal compliance.

3.3 Limited Financial Role

GSO may:

  • Present checkout;
  • Receive transaction information;
  • Accept or arrange acceptance of buyer payments;
  • Record seller proceeds;
  • Deduct applicable amounts;
  • Administer refunds and disputes;
  • Place holds or reserves;
  • Initiate eligible payouts;
  • Maintain transaction and accounting records.

3.4 Third-Party Providers

GSO may use third-party payment processors, financial institutions, card networks, fraud providers, tax systems, and PayPal to support payments and payouts.

3.5 No Guaranteed Acceptance

The availability of a payment or payout feature does not guarantee that a particular transaction, recipient, payment method, country, currency, account, or product category will be accepted.

4. Seller Appointment of GSO

4.1 Limited Collection Agent

Each seller appoints CrownThrive LLC and its designated payment providers as the seller’s limited payment-collection agents solely for the purpose of accepting buyer payments associated with eligible GSO transactions.

4.2 Written Authorization

This Policy, the Seller Agreement, and the Terms & Conditions constitute the seller’s written authorization directing GSO to collect and process payments from buyers on the seller’s behalf.

4.3 Public Authorization

By using GSO, a seller authorizes GSO to present itself through checkout, order confirmations, receipts, and transaction records as accepting payment for the seller’s eligible offerings.

4.4 Limited Purpose

GSO’s appointment is limited to transactions for goods, digital products, licenses, services, memberships, or other eligible offerings sold through the Platform.

The appointment does not authorize GSO to accept money for unrelated personal transfers, deposits, remittances, loans, investments, cash equivalents, or other prohibited financial activity.

4.5 Continued Authority

The collection appointment continues for outstanding transactions, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, reserves, taxes, reconciliations, and other obligations that survive account closure.

5. Effect of Buyer Payment

5.1 Satisfaction of Payment Obligation

To the extent a buyer payment is successfully received through GSO’s authorized checkout and is not later reversed, the buyer’s payment obligation to the seller for that amount is treated as satisfied when GSO or its designated payment provider receives the payment.

5.2 No Duplicate Payment

A seller may not require a buyer to pay the same valid transaction amount again solely because:

  • The seller has not yet become eligible for payout;
  • A payout request remains under review;
  • GSO has imposed a lawful hold or reserve;
  • PayPal has delayed or restricted a payout;
  • A seller supplied incorrect payout information;
  • The seller otherwise has not received net proceeds.

5.3 Reversed Payments

A buyer’s obligation may remain unresolved when the original payment:

  • Is declined;
  • Is unauthorized;
  • Fails to settle;
  • Is canceled;
  • Is reversed;
  • Is charged back;
  • Is refunded;
  • Is otherwise invalidated.

5.4 Seller Recourse

A seller’s entitlement is to eligible Net Seller Proceeds under this Policy, not necessarily the entire Gross Transaction Amount.

6. Accepted Customer Payment Methods

6.1 Available Methods

The customer payment methods currently available will be displayed at checkout.

Available methods may vary based on:

  • Buyer location;
  • Seller location;
  • Currency;
  • Product or service category;
  • Transaction amount;
  • Payment-provider availability;
  • Account status;
  • Fraud and risk review;
  • Legal requirements.

6.2 Method Changes

GSO may add, remove, limit, or replace customer payment methods without guaranteeing continued availability of a particular provider or method.

6.3 Buyer Responsibility

A buyer must use a payment method the buyer is legally authorized to use.

6.4 Seller Restrictions

A seller may not request an unauthorized off-platform payment or direct a buyer to avoid GSO checkout.

6.5 No Cash or Personal Transfer

Unless expressly approved for a specific transaction, GSO does not accept cash, personal money transfers, gift-card payments, cryptocurrency transfers, or direct seller payment as substitutes for the authorized checkout process.

7. Payment Authorization

7.1 Buyer Authorization

By submitting a payment method, the buyer authorizes GSO and its payment providers to charge the total amount displayed at checkout.

7.2 Charges May Include

The checkout total may include:

  • Product or service price;
  • Shipping and handling;
  • Taxes;
  • Membership charges;
  • Customization charges;
  • Deposits;
  • Service charges;
  • Other clearly disclosed amounts.

7.3 Multiple Transactions

An order involving multiple sellers, shipments, subscriptions, authorizations, or fulfillment events may result in multiple transaction records or charges where clearly disclosed and permitted.

7.4 Verification

GSO or its payment providers may request:

  • Identity confirmation;
  • Billing-address confirmation;
  • Card verification;
  • Account authentication;
  • Transaction confirmation;
  • Additional fraud-prevention information.

7.5 Preauthorization

A payment provider may place a temporary authorization or hold before final settlement. A temporary authorization is not necessarily a completed charge.

8. Payment Review, Failure, and Cancellation

8.1 Payment Review

GSO or a payment provider may review a payment for:

  • Fraud;
  • Identity theft;
  • Account takeover;
  • Sanctions compliance;
  • Card or bank authorization;
  • Duplicate charges;
  • Unusual transaction activity;
  • Product restrictions;
  • Geographic restrictions;
  • Other legal or financial risk.

8.2 Payment Failure

An order may be rejected, canceled, delayed, or restricted if payment is:

  • Declined;
  • Incomplete;
  • Expired;
  • Unauthorized;
  • Fraudulent;
  • Reversed;
  • Unsupported;
  • Subject to a provider limitation.

8.3 No Seller Fulfillment Before Confirmation

A seller should not treat an order as finally paid until the Platform identifies payment as successfully received or otherwise authorizes fulfillment.

8.4 Canceled Authorization

When an authorization is canceled before settlement, a buyer’s financial institution may require time to release the amount.

8.5 Payment Provider Control

GSO does not control every authorization, settlement, reversal, account limitation, or posting decision made by a payment provider or financial institution.

9. Currency and Conversion

9.1 Display Currency

Unless otherwise stated, GSO prices, balances, fees, and payout thresholds are displayed in United States dollars.

9.2 Conversion

When a payment or payout involves another currency, a payment provider, PayPal, bank, or card issuer may:

  • Apply an exchange rate;
  • Charge a conversion fee;
  • Round an amount;
  • Restrict the supported currency;
  • Convert funds into the recipient account’s supported currency.

9.3 Exchange-Rate Risk

Exchange rates may change between payment, refund, reversal, and payout. GSO does not guarantee that a converted refund or payout will equal the amount produced by an earlier exchange rate.

9.4 Seller Responsibility

Sellers and affiliates are responsible for reviewing PayPal and financial-institution currency settings and charges applicable to their accounts.

10. Prices and Checkout Charges

10.1 Listing Price

The seller is responsible for setting a lawful and accurate listing price, except where GSO is the seller or expressly controls a promotional price.

10.2 Clear Disclosure

Mandatory charges must be disclosed before the buyer completes payment.

10.3 Taxes and Shipping

Taxes and shipping charges may be calculated after the buyer provides a delivery address or other transaction information.

10.4 Pricing Errors

An obvious or material pricing error may be corrected and the affected transaction may be canceled where permitted by law.

10.5 Unauthorized Additional Charges

A seller may not demand undisclosed mandatory charges after an order has been placed.

11. Marketplace Fees

11.1 Seller Fees

GSO may charge sellers:

  • Marketplace transaction commissions;
  • Membership fees;
  • Listing or category fees;
  • Advertising fees;
  • Featured-placement charges;
  • Promotion or campaign charges;
  • Consultation or service fees;
  • Payout-related charges;
  • Other fees clearly disclosed before they are incurred.

11.2 Applicable Fee Schedule

Current fees may be displayed through:

  • The seller dashboard;
  • Membership checkout;
  • A fee schedule;
  • A listing form;
  • An order record;
  • An advertising program;
  • A payout request;
  • Another applicable disclosure.

11.3 Authorization to Deduct

Each seller authorizes GSO to deduct applicable fees from transaction proceeds, available balances, future balances, reserves, or another authorized payment method where permitted.

11.4 Fees Earned

Marketplace fees may be considered earned when the applicable transaction, listing, membership, advertisement, service, or other paid feature is provided, subject to mandatory law and any controlling refund terms.

11.5 Fee Avoidance

Sellers may not direct buyers off-platform, disguise transactions, split charges, create duplicate accounts, or use another method to avoid marketplace fees.

11.6 Fee Changes

GSO may change future fees by updating the applicable schedule and providing any notice required by law.

12. Membership Fees

12.1 Current Paid Plans

GSO currently offers the following paid seller plans:

  • Creator Pro: $39 for a one-year membership;
  • Business: $999 for a one-year membership.

12.2 Creator Plan

The Creator plan is currently available without a membership charge and is subject to its stated product limit and plan terms.

12.3 Payment Timing

A paid membership begins after successful payment or on another date clearly stated at checkout.

12.4 Renewal

A paid membership will not automatically renew unless automatic renewal is clearly disclosed, affirmative consent is obtained where required, and legally required cancellation and renewal notices are provided.

12.5 Membership Refunds

Membership fees are governed by the Membership Plan Terms and applicable law. Account suspension for a material policy violation does not automatically create a right to a membership refund.

12.6 Failed Membership Payment

If a membership payment fails or is reversed, GSO may:

  • Decline activation;
  • End paid-plan access;
  • Reduce product limits;
  • Deactivate products exceeding the available plan;
  • Recover an outstanding balance.

13. Seller-Funded Affiliate Commissions

13.1 Seller-Funded Structure

Participating sellers may choose eligible products for affiliate promotion and authorize commissions to be paid from their seller proceeds.

13.2 Commission Authorization

When a seller enables an affiliate commission, the seller authorizes GSO to:

  • Track qualifying referrals;
  • Calculate the applicable commission;
  • Deduct the commission from seller proceeds;
  • Credit the commission to the eligible affiliate;
  • Reverse the commission when the underlying transaction is refunded, canceled, charged back, fraudulent, or otherwise disqualified.

13.3 Pending Affiliate Earnings

Affiliate earnings remain pending until the underlying transaction satisfies applicable payment, delivery, return, fraud, chargeback, and validation requirements.

13.4 No Commission on Invalid Transactions

A commission is not payable for a transaction that is:

  • Unpaid;
  • Canceled;
  • Refunded;
  • Reversed;
  • Charged back;
  • Fraudulent;
  • Self-referred where prohibited;
  • Duplicated;
  • Manipulated;
  • Otherwise ineligible.

13.5 Insufficient Seller Proceeds

If seller proceeds are insufficient to cover an affiliate reversal or correction, the amount may become part of the seller’s Negative Balance.

14. Taxes and Withholding

14.1 Transaction Taxes

Where GSO is legally required to collect tax as a marketplace facilitator, retailer, service provider, or other responsible party, GSO may calculate, collect, report, and remit applicable taxes.

14.2 Seller Tax Responsibility

Except for taxes GSO is legally required to collect, report, remit, or withhold, sellers remain responsible for their own:

  • Income taxes;
  • Business taxes;
  • Franchise taxes;
  • Sales and use taxes;
  • Value-added or goods-and-services taxes;
  • Excise taxes;
  • Payroll and employment taxes;
  • Licensing charges;
  • Other applicable obligations.

14.3 Tax Deductions

GSO may deduct collected taxes from the Gross Transaction Amount before calculating Net Seller Proceeds.

14.4 Required Withholding

GSO may withhold amounts from seller or affiliate proceeds when:

  • Required by law;
  • Required tax information is missing or invalid;
  • A tax authority issues a lawful instruction;
  • A payment provider requires withholding;
  • Backup withholding or another legally required rule applies.

14.5 Exemptions

A buyer or seller claiming a tax exemption must provide valid documentation in the form and within the period required by GSO or applicable law.

14.6 No Tax Advice

GSO does not provide individualized tax advice. Users should consult qualified tax professionals concerning their circumstances.

15. Calculation of Seller Proceeds

15.1 Net Seller Proceeds

Net Seller Proceeds may be calculated by subtracting applicable amounts from the Gross Transaction Amount.

15.2 Potential Deductions

Deductions may include:

  • Marketplace commissions;
  • Membership or account charges;
  • Seller-funded affiliate commissions;
  • Taxes;
  • Refunds and partial refunds;
  • Chargebacks and reversals;
  • Payment-provider assessments;
  • Shipping adjustments;
  • Promotional contributions;
  • Advertising charges;
  • Reserves and holds;
  • Negative balances;
  • Amounts caused by errors, fraud, policy violations, or legal process;
  • Other authorized fees or deductions.

15.3 Transaction-Level Records

The seller dashboard or transaction record may show a breakdown of amounts when supported by the Platform.

15.4 Estimated Amounts

A displayed seller-proceeds estimate may change because of:

  • Tax correction;
  • Shipping adjustment;
  • Refund;
  • Chargeback;
  • Affiliate reversal;
  • Currency conversion;
  • Payment-provider correction;
  • Other authorized adjustment.

15.5 No Entitlement to Gross Amount

A seller is not entitled to the full Gross Transaction Amount when fees, taxes, commissions, refunds, or other deductions apply.

16. Pending, Available, Reserved, and Negative Balances

16.1 Pending Balance

Proceeds may remain pending while GSO waits for:

  • Successful payment settlement;
  • Seller verification;
  • Shipment or delivery evidence;
  • Digital delivery;
  • Service completion;
  • Return or cancellation periods;
  • Fraud review;
  • Chargeback-risk periods;
  • Other eligibility conditions.

16.2 Available Balance

An Available Balance is the portion of proceeds that currently satisfies GSO’s payout eligibility rules.

Displaying an amount as available does not prevent a later correction, reversal, reserve, legal hold, or deduction when permitted by this Policy.

16.3 Reserved Balance

A Reserved Balance is temporarily unavailable because GSO reasonably anticipates potential liability, refund, dispute, fulfillment, safety, legal, or financial risk.

16.4 Negative Balance

A Negative Balance represents an amount the seller or affiliate owes to GSO.

16.5 Dashboard Records

Dashboard balances are accounting records. They are not bank deposits, cash accounts, credit facilities, or guarantees of immediate payment.

17. Minimum Payout Threshold

17.1 Current Threshold

The current minimum amount required to submit a seller or affiliate payout request is:

$500 USD in Available Balance.

17.2 Available Balance Only

The $500 threshold is based only on the Available Balance. Pending, reserved, disputed, or promotional amounts do not count toward the threshold.

17.3 Amount After Deductions

The recipient must maintain at least $500 after applicable fees, adjustments, refunds, reserves, withholding, chargebacks, and other authorized deductions.

17.4 Separate Accounts

Balances from separate users, businesses, seller accounts, affiliate accounts, or legal entities may not be combined unless GSO expressly approves consolidation.

17.5 Threshold Changes

GSO may change the minimum threshold prospectively based on:

  • Provider costs;
  • Fraud and chargeback risk;
  • Administrative capacity;
  • Currency;
  • Jurisdiction;
  • Business requirements;
  • Applicable law.

The current threshold displayed in the payout settings or dashboard controls future requests if it differs from this Policy.

17.6 Account Closure

When an account closes with an eligible balance below the minimum threshold, GSO may process, retain temporarily, offset, return, or otherwise administer the amount according to this Policy, provider requirements, and applicable unclaimed-property law.

18. Payout Requests

18.1 Request Required

Seller and affiliate payouts are generally not automatic. An eligible recipient must submit a payout request using the available Platform process.

18.2 Conditions

Before submitting a payout request, the recipient must:

  • Have at least $500 in Available Balance;
  • Maintain an eligible account in good standing;
  • Complete required identity, business, tax, and seller verification;
  • Provide accurate PayPal information;
  • Resolve requested documentation;
  • Have no blocking legal or compliance restriction;
  • Satisfy applicable payout conditions.

18.3 Requested Amount

The recipient may request an eligible amount permitted by the Platform. GSO may require payout of the entire Available Balance or may permit a partial request.

18.4 Request Is Not Approval

Submission of a payout request does not guarantee approval, processing, or delivery.

18.5 Review

GSO may review:

  • Account status;
  • Transactions;
  • Delivery and fulfillment;
  • Refund exposure;
  • Chargeback exposure;
  • Identity and tax information;
  • PayPal information;
  • Safety and intellectual-property claims;
  • Fraud or compliance concerns;
  • Other relevant risk information.

18.6 Withdrawal or Modification

A payout request may not be modified or withdrawn after processing begins unless the Platform or PayPal permits it.

19. PayPal Payout Method

19.1 Current Method

GSO currently issues seller and affiliate payouts through PayPal only.

19.2 No Alternative Method Required

Until GSO expressly adds another supported method, GSO is not required to issue payouts by:

  • Paper check;
  • Cash;
  • Wire transfer;
  • Direct bank deposit;
  • Gift card;
  • Cryptocurrency;
  • Money-transfer service;
  • Another external payment method.

19.3 Independent Provider

PayPal is an independent provider. Its services are governed by PayPal’s own:

  • User agreements;
  • Acceptable-use rules;
  • Privacy notices;
  • Fees;
  • Verification procedures;
  • Currency rules;
  • Account limitations;
  • Jurisdictional restrictions.

19.4 Future Methods

GSO may introduce another payout provider or method. A new method may require separate verification, fees, minimums, or terms.

19.5 Provider Discontinuation

If PayPal becomes unavailable, restricts GSO, discontinues a relevant service, or cannot legally process a payout, GSO may delay the payout while evaluating a lawful alternative.

20. PayPal Recipient Requirements

20.1 Accurate Recipient Information

The recipient must provide a complete and accurate PayPal email address or other supported recipient identifier.

20.2 Eligible PayPal Account

The recipient is responsible for maintaining a PayPal account that:

  • Can lawfully receive the payout;
  • Supports the applicable currency;
  • Uses accurate identity information;
  • Has a confirmed email address where required;
  • Meets PayPal verification requirements;
  • Remains active and in good standing;
  • Complies with PayPal’s current rules.

20.3 Recipient Verification

GSO may require confirmation that the supplied PayPal information belongs to or is lawfully controlled by the seller, affiliate, business, or authorized payee.

20.4 Third-Party Payees

GSO may reject a payout request directing proceeds to an unrelated third party, nominee, employee, contractor, family member, or intermediary unless:

  • The arrangement is lawful;
  • The recipient is properly authorized;
  • Required tax and verification information is provided;
  • GSO approves the arrangement.

20.5 PayPal Fees

PayPal or another financial provider may apply currency-conversion, withdrawal, transfer, account, or other charges under its own terms.

20.6 Account Limitations

A restriction, hold, limitation, closure, or verification request imposed by PayPal is controlled by PayPal. The recipient must resolve the matter directly with PayPal when required.

21. Payout Review and Processing

21.1 Batch Processing

GSO may review and process payout requests individually or in scheduled batches.

21.2 No Guaranteed Processing Day

Unless GSO expressly publishes a guaranteed schedule, payout requests are processed according to:

  • Operational capacity;
  • Account verification;
  • Transaction eligibility;
  • Provider availability;
  • Fraud and compliance review;
  • Applicable holds or reserves;
  • Legal requirements.

21.3 Processing Begins After Approval

The period before GSO approves a payout request is separate from the time PayPal may require to process, notify, make available, or return the payout.

21.4 Business Days

Internal processing may be affected by weekends, holidays, staff availability, provider outages, investigations, documentation requests, and unusually high request volume.

21.5 Notification

GSO may provide a dashboard update, email, transaction reference, or other notice after a payout request is approved, denied, delayed, canceled, or submitted to PayPal.

21.6 Final Availability

A payout is not finally available merely because GSO submitted it. PayPal controls final receipt, account credit, claim, withdrawal, and availability.

22. Payout Statuses

22.1 Platform Statuses

A payout request may be identified as:

  • Requested: GSO has received the request.
  • Under Review: GSO is reviewing eligibility, records, or risk.
  • Additional Information Required: The recipient must provide requested information.
  • Approved: GSO has approved the payout for processing.
  • Submitted: The payout has been submitted to PayPal.
  • Pending: The provider has not completed final processing.
  • Completed: Available records indicate the payout was successfully credited or completed.
  • Unclaimed: The recipient has not completed the action required to claim the payout.
  • Held: The payout is subject to review or restriction.
  • Failed: The payout could not be processed.
  • Denied or Blocked: The payout was rejected or prohibited.
  • Returned: The amount was returned to GSO or the sending account.
  • Canceled: The payout was canceled before completion where permitted.
  • Reversed or Refunded: The completed or submitted amount was later reversed or returned.

22.2 Provider Status Controls

PayPal may use different or additional status labels. PayPal’s actual transaction record controls the provider-side status.

22.3 Status Delays

A dashboard status may not update immediately because of synchronization, provider, network, or technical delays.

22.4 No Finality Until Completion

A requested, reviewed, approved, submitted, or pending payout is not final until the provider identifies it as successfully completed and no applicable reversal remains.

23. Failed, Unclaimed, Returned, or Incorrect Payouts

23.1 Recipient Responsibility

The recipient must monitor the PayPal account, email address, spam folder, GSO dashboard, and payout communications.

23.2 Incorrect Information

If the recipient supplied an incorrect PayPal email address or identifier:

  • The payout may fail;
  • The payout may remain unclaimed;
  • The payout may be sent to the wrong person;
  • Recovery may be delayed or impossible after another person claims it.

23.3 GSO Responsibility

GSO is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate payout information supplied by the recipient, except to the extent required by law or caused by GSO’s own processing error.

23.4 Unclaimed Payout

If a payout remains unclaimed through PayPal’s applicable claim period, PayPal may return it to the sending account.

23.5 Reissuance

Before reissuing a failed, returned, or unclaimed payout, GSO may require:

  • Corrected recipient information;
  • Identity verification;
  • PayPal account confirmation;
  • Reconciliation of the returned amount;
  • Payment of applicable reprocessing costs where disclosed and lawful.

23.6 Claimed by Wrong Recipient

If an incorrect recipient claims a payout because of information supplied by the seller or affiliate, GSO may assist with available records but does not guarantee recovery.

23.7 Duplicate Payouts

A recipient must promptly notify GSO of a duplicate or excess payout and return any amount not properly owed.

24. Payout Holds and Delays

24.1 Authority to Hold

GSO may delay, suspend, reduce, cancel, or hold a payout when reasonably necessary to protect buyers, sellers, affiliates, GSO, payment providers, or the public.

24.2 Reasons for a Hold

A hold may be imposed because of:

  • Incomplete seller verification;
  • Missing tax information;
  • Incorrect PayPal information;
  • New or unusual seller activity;
  • Sudden increases in sales volume;
  • High-value transactions;
  • Long fulfillment periods;
  • Pre-orders or future-delivery obligations;
  • Unconfirmed shipment, delivery, download, or service completion;
  • Expected returns or refunds;
  • Elevated chargeback or dispute risk;
  • Buyer claims;
  • Fraud or account-takeover concerns;
  • Counterfeit or intellectual-property claims;
  • Product-safety or recall concerns;
  • Sanctions or geographic restrictions;
  • A Negative Balance;
  • A legal demand or government request;
  • A payment-provider or PayPal restriction;
  • Other reasonable financial or legal risk.

24.3 Information Requests

GSO may require:

  • Identification;
  • Business records;

24.4 Duration

A hold may remain until the relevant risk, investigation, dispute, legal requirement, verification issue, or provider restriction is reasonably resolved.

24.5 No Interest

Held amounts do not earn interest for the seller or affiliate to the fullest extent permitted by law.

25. Reserves

25.1 Reserve Authority

GSO may establish a transaction-specific, fixed, rolling, percentage-based, or account-level reserve.

25.2 Reserve Purpose

A reserve may protect against:

  • Refunds;
  • Returns;
  • Chargebacks;
  • Warranty claims;
  • Fulfillment failure;
  • Affiliate reversals;
  • Product-safety claims;
  • Recalls;
  • Counterfeit or infringement claims;
  • Negative balances;
  • Taxes and withholding;
  • Other reasonably anticipated liabilities.

25.3 Reserve Factors

GSO may consider:

  • Sales history;
  • Account age;
  • Transaction size;
  • Product category;
  • Fulfillment time;
  • Return and chargeback rates;
  • Complaint history;
  • Verification status;
  • Financial exposure;
  • Available documentation.

25.4 Reserve Adjustment

GSO may increase, decrease, release, renew, or apply a reserve as the underlying risk changes.

25.5 Application of Reserve

Reserved amounts may be applied to refunds, chargebacks, fees, taxes, legal obligations, claims, or other amounts owed.

25.6 Release

Remaining reserve funds may become available after the relevant exposure reasonably expires and all applicable deductions are completed.

26. Refunds and Return-Related Deductions

26.1 Seller Authorization

Each seller authorizes GSO to issue or administer refunds as permitted by:

  • The seller’s disclosed policy;
  • The Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy;
  • Buyer Protection;
  • Transaction-specific terms;
  • Payment-provider rules;
  • Applicable law.

26.2 Refund Funding

Refund-related deductions may include:

  • Buyer refund amount;
  • Applicable taxes;
  • Shipping adjustment;
  • Affiliate commission reversal;
  • Payment-provider charges;
  • Other transaction corrections.

26.4 Fee Refundability

Whether a marketplace, processing, advertising, membership, or other fee is refundable depends on the applicable fee terms, provider rules, transaction status, and law.

26.5 Insufficient Balance

If the seller lacks sufficient proceeds, the refund may create or increase a Negative Balance.

27. Chargebacks and Payment Reversals

27.1 Seller Financial Responsibility

Subject to applicable law, sellers are financially responsible for chargebacks and reversals arising from their transactions.

27.2 Chargeback Amounts

Amounts charged to the seller may include:

  • The disputed transaction amount;
  • Taxes;
  • Shipping;
  • Payment-provider assessments;
  • Affiliate reversals;
  • Other related transaction adjustments.

27.3 Evidence

GSO may request:

  • Listing information;
  • Order records;
  • Buyer messages;
  • Shipping and tracking information;
  • Delivery confirmation;
  • Digital-access records;
  • Service-completion evidence;
  • Return information;
  • Other supporting records.

27.4 Response Authority

GSO may provide relevant records to the payment provider or financial institution responding to the dispute.

27.5 No Guaranteed Outcome

GSO does not guarantee that a chargeback will be decided in the seller’s favor.

27.6 Internal Claim Coordination

GSO may pause or close an internal refund or Buyer Protection claim while the same transaction is subject to an external chargeback.

27.7 Abusive Buyer Disputes

GSO may investigate and take action against buyers who knowingly submit false, duplicate, manipulated, or abusive payment disputes.

28. Negative Balances

28.1 Creation

A Negative Balance may arise from:

  • Refunds;
  • Chargebacks;
  • Payment reversals;
  • Affiliate reversals;
  • Marketplace fees;
  • Membership charges;
  • Taxes or withholding;
  • Shipping adjustments;
  • Fraud losses;
  • Duplicate payouts;
  • Transaction errors;
  • Amounts owed under another GSO policy.

28.2 Obligation to Repay

A seller or affiliate must promptly repay a Negative Balance.

28.3 Future Proceeds

GSO may automatically apply future transaction proceeds, affiliate earnings, credits, reserves, refunds, or other amounts payable to the user toward the Negative Balance.

28.4 Account Restrictions

While a Negative Balance remains outstanding, GSO may:

  • Block payout requests;
  • Hold future proceeds;
  • Restrict listings;
  • Restrict new transactions;
  • Suspend seller or affiliate access;
  • Terminate the account;
  • Pursue lawful collection.

28.5 No Avoidance

A user may not create a new account, transfer a business, change a payout recipient, or otherwise restructure activity to avoid a Negative Balance.

29. Setoff and Collection

29.1 Setoff Authorization

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you authorize GSO to offset an amount you owe against:

  • Seller proceeds;
  • Affiliate commissions;
  • Refunds payable to you;
  • Credits;
  • Reserves;
  • Other amounts GSO owes you.

29.2 Authorized Payment Method

Where permitted and properly authorized, GSO may charge a payment method associated with your account for an amount you owe.

29.3 Invoice

GSO may issue an invoice requiring payment within the stated period.

29.4 Collection Costs

To the extent permitted by law and this Policy, you may be responsible for reasonable collection costs arising from an unpaid amount.

29.5 Legal Remedies

GSO may pursue arbitration, litigation, collection, lien, garnishment, or another lawful remedy when appropriate.

29.6 Related Accounts

Where legally appropriate and supported by reliable evidence, GSO may consider accounts controlled by the same person or business when addressing fee avoidance, fraud, duplicate accounts, or outstanding obligations.

30. Errors and Transaction Corrections

30.1 Correction Authority

GSO may correct an accounting, tax, payout, fee, commission, refund, currency, duplicate-payment, or technical error.

30.2 Overpayments

A user who receives more than the amount properly owed must promptly return the excess.

30.3 Underpayments

If a recipient receives less than the amount properly owed because of a GSO processing error, GSO may correct the difference after verification.

30.4 Provider Errors

An error caused by PayPal, a payment provider, card network, bank, or other third party may require that provider’s investigation and correction.

30.5 Notification Period

Users should report a suspected transaction, fee, or payout error promptly and generally within thirty days after the relevant record becomes available.

This notification period does not waive a right that applicable law does not permit GSO to waive.

30.6 Evidence

GSO may require transaction references, statements, screenshots, PayPal records, bank records, emails, or other documentation sufficient to identify the suspected error.

31. Statements, Records, and Reconciliation

31.1 Dashboard Records

The seller or affiliate dashboard may display:

  • Shipping records;
  • Tax records;
  • PayPal records;
  • Other financial documentation.

31.4 Platform Record Control

If a user-generated report conflicts with GSO’s underlying transaction records or provider records, GSO may rely on the underlying records after reasonable review.

31.5 Record Availability

GSO does not guarantee indefinite dashboard access. Users should download or preserve records required for tax, accounting, legal, or business purposes.

31.6 Separate Marketplace Records

GSO may maintain separate accounting treatment for:

  • Direct CrownThrive sales;
  • Facilitated seller sales;
  • Membership revenue;
  • Advertising revenue;
  • Affiliate commissions;
  • Taxes collected;
  • Seller liabilities;
  • Other transaction categories.

32. Tax Reporting and Seller Records

32.1 Tax Forms

GSO, a payment processor, PayPal, or another legally responsible entity may issue tax forms or report transactions to government authorities when required.

32.2 No Guaranteed Form

A seller or affiliate may receive a tax form even when activity is below a generally published threshold, and the absence of a form does not mean the income is non-taxable.

32.3 Seller Responsibility

Sellers and affiliates are responsible for accurately reporting income and expenses regardless of whether they receive a particular form.

32.4 Accurate Tax Information

Users must provide accurate:

  • Legal name;
  • Business name;
  • Tax classification;
  • Taxpayer identification information;
  • Address;
  • Exemption documentation;
  • Other required tax information.

32.5 Corrected Forms

Users should consult a qualified tax or accounting professional concerning reporting, deductions, basis, business expenses, and other tax issues.

33. Fraud, Verification, and Compliance Review

  • Addresses;
  • Countries;

34.3 Restrictions

A payment or payout may be blocked, delayed, rejected, frozen, reported, or returned when required by sanctions, export controls, court orders, provider policies, or other law.

34.4 No Evasion

Users may not conceal identity, location, ownership, product type, recipient, or transaction purpose to avoid a restriction.

35. Prohibited Financial Activity

The Platform may not be used to:

  • Transfer personal funds unrelated to a marketplace transaction;
  • Hold money as a deposit or savings account;
  • Cash out stolen payment methods;
  • Launder money;
  • Conceal transaction proceeds;
  • Structure transactions to avoid reporting or verification;
  • Move funds for an unrelated third party;
  • Process sham or fictitious sales;
  • Create fake orders to generate payouts;

  • Sell cash equivalents or prohibited financial products;
  • Conduct unlawful gambling, lending, investment, remittance, or financial activity;
  • Evade taxes, sanctions, fees, holds, or account restrictions;

36.2 No Escrow

Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, GSO does not provide escrow services.

36.3 No Stored Value

A dashboard balance is not intended to function as generally transferable stored value, electronic money, or a payment instrument.

36.4 No Investment

Pending, available, held, or reserved proceeds are not investments and do not earn a return.

36.5 No Credit

GSO does not extend credit merely because the Platform records an amount, provides a refund, or permits a temporary Negative Balance.

36.6 Transaction Accounting

Dashboard balances represent GSO’s accounting of marketplace transactions and payment obligations, subject to corrections and applicable policies.

37. Unclaimed Amounts

37.1 Returned or Unclaimed Payouts

An amount may remain unpaid because:

  • The recipient did not request payout;
  • The Available Balance remained below the threshold;
  • The PayPal information was inaccurate;
  • The payout remained unclaimed;
  • The account was abandoned;
  • The recipient could not be located;
  • The recipient failed verification;
  • A provider returned the amount.

37.2 Contact Attempts

GSO may attempt to contact the recipient using the account information on file.

37.3 Continued Deductions

Before handling an unclaimed amount, GSO may apply lawful refunds, chargebacks, taxes, fees, reserves, and other obligations.

37.4 Unclaimed-Property Law

When required, GSO may report and remit an unclaimed amount to the appropriate governmental authority under applicable unclaimed-property law.

37.5 Recovery After Remittance

After an amount is remitted to a government authority, the owner may need to claim it directly from that authority.

  • Loss of affiliate eligibility;
  • Loss of seller status;

  • Payout corrections;
  • Fraud investigations;
  • Legal claims;
  • Record retention.
