Good Shit Only™ is operated by CrownThrive LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. In these Standards, “Good Shit Only,” “GSO,” “CrownThrive,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to CrownThrive LLC and the Good Shit Only marketplace.
These Standards supplement and are incorporated into the Good Shit Only Terms & Conditions, Acceptable Use Policy, Trust & Safety Policy, Buyer Protection & Buyer Rules, Seller Agreement, Affiliate Program Terms, Advertising, Promotions, Sponsored & Featured Placement Terms, Privacy Policy, and other applicable Trust Center policies.
By sending a message, submitting a review or rating, responding to a review, uploading community content, or otherwise participating in a GSO communication feature, you agree to these Standards.

6. Off-Platform Payments and Transactions
Users may not use GSO messaging to move an existing or reasonably anticipated marketplace transaction outside GSO for the purpose of avoiding:
- Marketplace fees;
- Payment records;
- Taxes;
- Buyer Protection;
- Seller obligations;
- Affiliate attribution;
- Other marketplace controls.
Users should report requests for payment through unauthorized wire transfers, gift cards, cryptocurrency, personal-transfer applications, cash, or external invoices.
7. Spam and Unsolicited Solicitation
Users may not:
- Send mass unsolicited messages;
- Repeatedly promote unrelated products or services;
- Harvest contact information;
- Add users to external marketing lists without lawful permission;
- Send unauthorized affiliate links;
- Use automated messaging without approval;
- Continue promotional contact after a valid opt-out;
- Use deceptive subject lines or sender information.
A seller may communicate with a buyer concerning the transaction and lawful related support but may not treat transaction information as unrestricted marketing permission.
8. Harassment, Threats, and Retaliation
Users may not:
- Threaten violence;
- Repeatedly contact a person after a clear request to stop;
- Use multiple accounts to continue harassment;
- Threaten a review, refund, chargeback, lawsuit, report, or disclosure to obtain an improper benefit;
- Retaliate against a reviewer or reporting party;
- Publish private information to encourage harassment;
- Use degrading or abusive language directed at another user;
- Coordinate harassment or mass-reporting campaigns.
9. Discrimination and Hateful Content
Messaging, reviews, responses, profiles, and community content may not:
- Promote violence against a protected group;
- Dehumanize people based on a protected characteristic;
- Use unlawful discriminatory transaction criteria;
- Target a person with hateful abuse;
- Deny lawful marketplace services for an unlawful discriminatory reason;
- Promote violent extremist ideology.
10. Privacy and Sensitive Information
Users may not publish or transmit unnecessary:
- Passwords;
- Complete payment-card information;
- Banking credentials;
- Social Security numbers;
- Government identification;
- Authentication codes;
- Medical records;
- Home addresses unrelated to fulfillment;
- Private communications involving third parties;
- Other highly sensitive information.
Reviews and seller responses must not expose another person’s private contact, payment, health, family, or account information.
11. Message Review and Preservation
GSO may access, review, preserve, and disclose messages when reasonably necessary to:
- Provide support;
- Investigate fraud or abuse;
- Resolve an order dispute;
- Protect user safety;
- Enforce policies;
- Respond to legal process;
- Prevent spam, malware, or prohibited transactions;
- Maintain transaction records.
GSO is not required to monitor every message before or after delivery.
12. Review Eligibility
GSO may permit a review or rating when a person:
- Completed an eligible purchase;
- Received or attempted to receive the offering;
- Had a genuine service or marketplace experience;
- Otherwise qualifies under the review feature presented.
GSO may restrict reviews to verified transactions or permit other genuine experiences when clearly identified.
A canceled, refunded, delayed, or disputed transaction may still support a review concerning the genuine experience that occurred.
13. Genuine Experience Requirement
A review or rating must reflect the reviewer’s own genuine experience.
Users may not:
- Review an offering they did not purchase, use, receive, or meaningfully experience;
- Submit another person’s experience as their own;
- Review through a fabricated identity;
- Create a review solely at the direction of a seller, competitor, affiliate, or third party;
- Submit a review before any relevant experience has occurred;
- Use a fictional or synthetic persona to imitate a genuine customer.
14. Accuracy and Honest Opinion
Reviewers may express honest opinions, including strong criticism.
Factual statements should be truthful and reasonably supported.
A reviewer should distinguish between:
- Personal opinion;
- Direct observation;
- Information supplied by another person;
- A conclusion or inference;
- A verified fact.
A reviewer may not knowingly make a materially false statement concerning a seller, buyer, provider, product, service, employee, or transaction.
15. Fake and False Reviews
GSO prohibits:
- Creating or selling fake reviews;
- Purchasing fake reviews;
- Submitting reviews by people who do not exist;
- Submitting reviews by people without actual experience;
- Misrepresenting the reviewer’s experience;
- Using coordinated accounts to manipulate ratings;
- Reposting the same deceptive review across multiple accounts;
- Disseminating testimonials known or reasonably understood to be false.
16. Artificial Intelligence and Reviews
Artificial intelligence may be used for spelling, translation, accessibility, or drafting assistance only when the final review accurately reflects the reviewer’s genuine experience and opinion.
AI may not be used to:
- Fabricate a customer;
- Invent an experience;
- Generate large quantities of deceptive reviews;
- Imitate a real person without authority;
- Create fake photographs, audio, or video as transaction evidence;
- Conceal that the reviewer lacks actual experience;
- Manipulate ratings or marketplace perception.
17. Review Incentives
A seller, advertiser, affiliate, or other person may not provide compensation or another incentive conditioned expressly or implicitly on a review expressing a particular positive or negative sentiment.
Prohibited conditions include:
- Payment only for a five-star review;
- A refund only for changing a negative review;
- A discount only for positive feedback;
- A prize entry available only to favorable reviewers;
- A benefit conditioned on criticizing a competitor;
- An instruction to omit a negative experience.
A neutral incentive for an honest review may be permitted only when lawful, clearly disclosed, not conditioned on sentiment, and consistent with GSO requirements.
18. Material Connections and Insider Reviews
A reviewer must clearly disclose any relationship that could materially affect how readers evaluate the review.
Material connections may include:
- Employment;
- Ownership;
- Family or household relationship;
- Business partnership;
- Affiliate commission;
- Free product or service;
- Discount;
- Sponsorship;
- Payment;
- Another meaningful benefit or relationship.
A seller, employee, officer, manager, representative, family member, or affiliate may not submit a review that falsely appears independent.
19. Review Gating and Selective Solicitation
Users may not use deceptive review-gating practices designed to publish favorable feedback while diverting or suppressing unfavorable feedback.
Prohibited conduct may include:
- Asking only satisfied customers to post public reviews while routing dissatisfied customers to a private form;
- Using a survey to determine sentiment before providing a public-review link;
- Preventing a customer from reviewing because the expected rating is negative;
- Representing that displayed reviews reflect all customers when negative feedback was systematically excluded.
A seller may invite customers to contact support before or after reviewing, but may not condition review access or a required remedy on doing so.
20. Review Suppression and Threats
Users may not use an unfounded or abusive legal threat, intimidation, harassment, account retaliation, financial pressure, or public exposure to prevent or remove an honest review.
A seller may identify a specific factual concern, report policy-violating content, or pursue a legitimate legal remedy.
A seller may not claim that every negative review is unlawful merely because it is critical.
21. Competitors and Conflicts of Interest
A person may not submit or commission a deceptive review of a competitor.
A competitor, employee, contractor, or affiliated business must not:
- Submit a negative review without a genuine qualifying experience;
- Conceal the competitive relationship;
- Coordinate false ratings;
- Pay another person to criticize a competitor deceptively;
- Use review reports to suppress lawful competition.
22. Review Extortion
Users may not threaten to:
- Post a false review;
- Leave multiple negative reviews;
- Organize review bombing;
- Remove a review only in exchange for an improper payment, free item, or unrelated benefit;
- Expose private information;
- File a false report;
- Damage a business unless an improper demand is satisfied.
A buyer may request a lawful refund or remedy and may honestly describe the experience.
23. Review Content Requirements
A review should focus on the relevant:
- Product;
- Service;
- Seller;
- Fulfillment;
- Communication;
- Marketplace experience;
- Transaction-related issue.
A review may be restricted when it contains:
- Irrelevant political, personal, or promotional content;
- Spam;
- Malware or unsafe links;
- Private information;
- Threats;
- Hateful abuse;
- Sexual exploitation;
- False impersonation;
- Unlawful or infringing material;
- Content unrelated to a genuine marketplace experience.
24. Photographs, Video, and Other Review Media
Review media must:
- Relate to the reviewed experience;
- Be lawfully obtained;
- Not expose unnecessary personal information;
- Not falsely depict damage, delivery, use, or product condition;
- Not infringe intellectual-property rights;
- Not contain prohibited sexual, violent, hateful, or exploitative content;
- Not contain malicious files.
Materially altered or synthetic media must not be presented as authentic transaction evidence.
25. Seller Responses
A seller may respond publicly to a review.
Seller responses must not:
- Reveal private buyer information;
- Threaten the reviewer;
- Use hateful or abusive language;
- Make knowingly false accusations;
- Retaliate against the buyer;
- Misrepresent the transaction record;
- Offer an unlawful incentive for removal;
- Expose payment, medical, family, address, or account information.
A seller should address the issue professionally and identify available support or resolution steps.
26. Seller Contact Concerning Reviews
A seller may contact a reviewer through approved channels to:
- Understand the concern;
- Offer a lawful remedy;
- Correct a factual misunderstanding;
- Provide support;
- Request a voluntary update after resolution.
A seller may not repeatedly contact, pressure, threaten, bribe, or harass the reviewer.
A buyer is not required to change an honest review merely because a remedy was provided.
27. Review Edits and Updates
A reviewer may update a review to:
- Correct an error;
- Add later developments;
- Describe a resolution;
- Clarify an opinion;
- Remove unnecessary personal information.
GSO may preserve prior versions for fraud, dispute, legal, moderation, and recordkeeping purposes.
A material edit must not convert a review into a fabricated or unrelated account.
28. Review Removal and Restriction
GSO may remove, hide, limit, label, or decline a review when:
- It is fake or materially false;
- The reviewer lacked a genuine experience;
- It contains prohibited content;
- It exposes private information;
- It was submitted through manipulation;
- It infringes rights;
- It is unrelated to the reviewed transaction;
- It contains an unsafe link or malicious file;
- It violates a court order or legal requirement;
- Another applicable policy requires restriction.
GSO may request clarification or editing instead of complete removal.
29. Negative Reviews
GSO will not remove a review solely because:
- It is negative;
- The seller disagrees with the opinion;
- The review describes a refund, dispute, delay, or cancellation;
- The seller resolved the issue later;
- The review affects the seller’s rating;
- The seller threatens legal action without identifying a valid basis.
Negative reviews remain subject to the same accuracy, experience, privacy, relevance, and conduct standards as positive reviews.
30. Ratings and Display
GSO may calculate, weight, round, summarize, filter, or display ratings using reasonable marketplace methods.
Factors may include:
- Number of reviews;
- Recency;
- Verified transaction status;
- Product-specific versus seller-wide ratings;
- Removed or ineligible reviews;
- Fraud and manipulation controls;
- Category-specific factors;
- Technical display limitations.
A displayed average may change as reviews are added, edited, removed, restored, or reclassified.
31. Verified Purchase and Transaction Labels
A “Verified Purchase,” “Verified Booking,” or similar label generally means GSO records associate the reviewer with an eligible transaction.
The label does not guarantee:
- That every statement in the review is true;
- That the product was used in a particular manner;
- That no relationship exists between the reviewer and seller;
- That the transaction was never refunded or disputed;
- That GSO endorses the review.
32. Testimonials and Advertising Use
A seller, affiliate, advertiser, or GSO may not materially alter a review to create a misleading testimonial.
When a review is used in advertising:
- The quoted content must fairly represent the original review;
- Material connections must be disclosed;
- Unusual results must not be represented as typical without appropriate qualification;
- The user’s identity, image, or likeness may be used only with required authority;
- Expired or inaccurate claims must not be republished deceptively;
- Platform and advertising rules must be followed.
33. License to Community Content
Users retain ownership of content they lawfully own.
By submitting community content, the user grants CrownThrive LLC a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to:
- Host and store the content;
- Display it through GSO;
- Format and technically adapt it;
- Moderate it;
- Use it in marketplace search, seller profiles, product pages, and transaction records;
- Use compliant content to promote GSO or the applicable offering;
- Preserve it for fraud, legal, safety, and dispute purposes.
Promotional use of a person’s identity or endorsement remains subject to applicable consent and disclosure requirements.
34. Reporting Content or Conduct
Report a message, review, rating, seller response, or community item through the available report control or Help Center.
A report should identify:
- The content or account;
- The applicable transaction where relevant;
- The specific policy concern;
- Supporting evidence;
- Any immediate safety concern;
- The requested action.
Knowingly false or retaliatory reports are prohibited.
35. Moderation and Enforcement
GSO may:
- Request an edit;
- Add a disclosure or label;
- Limit visibility;
- Remove content;
- Restrict messaging;
- Disable review privileges;
- Remove artificial ratings or engagement;
- Restrict seller responses;
- Suspend or terminate an account;
- Preserve evidence;
- Report unlawful conduct;
- Take another reasonable enforcement action.
GSO may use automated and manual systems to identify spam, fraud, manipulation, prohibited content, and unusual review patterns.
36. Appeals
A user may request review through:
Community or Review Decision Appeal
The request should include:
- The content or decision involved;
- The alleged factual or policy error;
- Any new evidence;
- The requested resolution.
Submitting an appeal does not automatically restore content or suspend another enforcement action.
37. Disclaimers
Reviews, ratings, messages, comments, and other community content are submitted by users and do not necessarily reflect the views of CrownThrive LLC.
GSO does not guarantee:
- That every review is accurate;
- That every reviewer is unbiased;
- That every prohibited review will be detected immediately;
- That a seller will respond;
- That a rating predicts a future experience;
- That messaging will remain continuously available;
- That every content dispute can be resolved internally.
38. Changes to These Standards
GSO may update these Standards prospectively to reflect changes in law, community features, review systems, advertising practices, marketplace risks, technology, or operations.
The revised Standards will display an updated Last Updated date.
